Freshman Ben McLemore declared for the NBA draft on Tuesday, which wasn't a surprise as he should be a lottery pick. The Jayhawks now have lost all five of their 2012-13 team's starters due to graduation to the draft, plus another freshman who transferred recently.
After leading Kansas to the Sweet 16, freshman guard Ben McLemore will enter the NBA draft. He is expected to be a lottery pick.

Which means they'll win the Big 12-2 again next year, only with different guys.
Yep. Barnes will still he his whipping boy
"I don't hate you, I'm just not necessarily excited about your existence."
Every coach in the Big 12 is his whipping boy. There is no other team with the fanbase and enthusiasm for basketball that can compete with the Jayhawks when it comes to basketball. I still think we should raise Gregory Gym and bring basketball back to campus. We are supposed to be the Jones' ... right. I hope he didn't mean the Jerry .... yuck!!

I know you hate Jerry and for his GM duties alone, I can't stand him. However, he did take a $150 million investment and now it's worth about $2 billion. I would love to be able to play in that sandbox.
Deloss has done the same with Texas pretty much, but that doesn't mean they aren't dipshits. I've never liked the Cowboys but I used to have respect for them in the Landry days. From day 1 Jerry has proved himself to be the biggest a-hole ever from Arkansas, and that is saying somthing. That sandbox is great if all you are after is more money, but for Texas fans I think a smaller sandbox with more championship trophies would be preferred. I know the same bodes true for Cowboy fans. God wouldn't let me be a Texas fan and a Cowboy fan. I always rooted for the Redskins in that game even though Staubach always pulled it out in the end. Man that guy was good.
Well, they are a basketball first school in a football conference. So far, it has been the exception rather than the rule that other schools will be able to compete with them.
Maybe we should push for Louisville to the Big 12. They would give Kansas some competiton.
That is not a bad idea, other than it would be KU and UL in the champ game every single year. I would like to see that matchup yearly, though.
When, and if we manage to have 4 scholarship seniors on the team, we'll have a shot at winning conference titles too.
Disciplina praesidium civitatis
We don't see dollar one from the Cowboys or UT so who gives a shit about that when total mismanagement by Jones has ruined a once proud franchise. I'd rather be the Packers or Spurs: small market and not as rich yet very smart and can build consistent winners
