6-1 Top of the 7th
Speer, Kyle reached on a fielding error; Meyer, Mitch scores, un-earned. Davis, Jon advanced to 2nd and scored on a fielding error; King, Jared scores un-earned. This stretches the lead 9-1 Wildcats
Peyton singles to right field (2nd RBI) B. Marlow and Hall come into score. 9-3 Kansas State in the 7th
DeLoss is just happy that it's being fixed. Losing, mediocrity, and embarrassingly below average are all okay as long as the coach tells you that he's working day and night to fix it.
Whit, you're the man though. On a gorgeous Sunday afternoon, you're watching this albatross flail to an impressive 0-7 series record versus conference opponents.
Bottom of the 8th, 9-3 K-State
In the 9th, Last chance for the Horns down by 6 runs
Meanwhile, Tech and OSU are tied at 0 in the top of the 8th, OSU with runner on third and 2 out. Make that first and third after an intentional walk.
If Texas loses and Tech wins, then Texas will have to sweep TCU to have any chance for a spot in the conference tourmament.
That 8 team conference tournament? In a conference with 9 baseball teams?
I hope DeLoss is having trouble sleeping at night. I know he's not, however.
9-3 final, K-State wins the series
He's probably napping right now.
Well, at least it's almost over.
Very good point
I expect Augie Garrido to announce his retirement over the summer...unlikely to happen until after the CWS
