Might have beaten out ISU the first time.
Back when Maurice Evans transferred, Wichita State wouldn't let him go to schools that had recruited him on the first go-round, which knocked out Kansas and Kansas State.
“Kansas may wind up number one in these polls, but that would be so unfair to Texas...” -- Len Elmore, 2/13/11
Ok, that makes some sense. ISU was one of 6 finalists.
Well this stinks...
Kansas still owes Texas for Luke Axtell.
For a team that likes to say they have won the Big 12 Conference Title a 100 times in a row they sure seem like they are running scared from Texas.
Maybe this is the payback. He scored more points in one year at Texas than he did in two at KU.
Mods can you all provide any confirmation that Texas is not on the list?

I wonder if Danny Manning is doing this as he is an Ex Kansas Jayhawk. That could be playing into this as well.
FWIW, Danny Manning has come out and stated that he doesn't care where Clarkson plays, not his deal.
I don't see why this is viewed as a Manning issue. The AD (or AD's designee) signs the release. It isn't the coach's decision. The coach's advice is probably taken to heart by the AD, but it is the AD that makes the final decision.
If Manning made no transfers to other Big 12 schools a condition for hire, then Tulsa should never have employed him. A head coach must understand he owes loyalty and duty to one and only one school.
Wisconsin just lifted non-Big10 restrictions for Uthoff. Maybe now the media can shift their focus to Clarkson?
If I'm Texas, I don't necessarily want the Clarkson thing to blow up like Uthoff did. But I'd definitely point out to Tulsa that it might....
Jeff Goodman of CBSSports agrees with you.
Bo Ryan relented and has allowed Jarrod Uthoff to go anywhere except within the Big Ten. Now it's time to turn our attention to Tulsa athletic director Ross Parmley -- who is putting crazy restrictions on star guard Jordan Clarkson even though there's been a coaching change.
Those guys never cite to me.
So there we go.
