Per the Texas SID:
Sophomore forward Jonathan Holmes (right hand) has been cleared to play in tomorrow’s home game vs. Iowa State
Holmes suffered a broken bone in his right hand during first-half action at Oklahoma on Jan. 21.

I said I'd be surprised if he plays tomorrow. I think I still might be. From broken shooting hand to back on the court in 23 days? That's an awfully quick recovery.
Agreed. If I'm Barnes I'd much rather have him back for the Big 12 tournament than any game in the regular season. I'd let that hand heal fully before I put him back in action.
I'm with you. It will be interesting to see if the team can jell and hit their stride before the Big 12 Tournament.

He's been practicing with the team all year. While he's spent the majority of his time on the "scout" team, he's still had a lot of time to run the offense with the front line. It will probably take a couple games, but I think 8 is plenty.
+1 for proper use of the word "jell."
