By adding high-motor overachievers, Jason Garrett is building the Cowboys' roster in his own image.'

"Don't know. Never had one"
-- D. Royal-Mack Brown how to coach a team after a losing season
Bruce we usually don't see the words overachieving and Cowboys in the same sentence!

"Leadership is wisdom, courage and great carelessness of self"
The Cowboys won't be a lot better until Garrett is out of the picture.
I feel just the opposite. I think he's a step in the right direction
Hard to step any direction with one foot cemented to the ground (Jerry Jones)
Plus another 1.
TheBoys finally got some decent DBs. Maybe theyll decide to draft a stellar QB one year and actually do something. Until then, keep expecting mediocrity.
Two downvotes? My, how sensitive some of you Cowboy fans are. Remember the last Cowboy team that played in the Super Bowl? Remind me who was QB and where he was drafted.
Going to be hard for any Cowboy coach to have full impact with an attention-seeking owner constantly asserting himself as the team's real voice of authority.
While I go back and forth on Romo I believe your argument concerning draft position doesn't carry much water. That being said I wish I felt like being great and winning was as important to Romo as I know it was to Troy.
With healthy RBs, a better Defense, the QB position would not be but a small issue.
Lmao at another downote!
Charlie! That REALLY hurt!
Lets see if I can get as many downvotes in this thread as old and garbage QBs the Boys have had post Aikman:
Anthony Wright lulz
Quincy Carter thhhhhlulzthhhhhh
Ryan Leaf bwahahahoxycotinahaha
Clint Stoerner pig scrub
Chad Hutchinson biggest wimp QB in nfl history.
Vinny Testaverde couldnt juggle being AARP President with being Boys QB
Drew Henson. Has anyone seen his baseball?!
Drew Bledsoe. See Vinny Testaverde
Tony Romo. Undrafted. Has done well considering that, but he is no championship level QB.
John Kitna. career backup.sweet.
Stephen McGee. Sadly, he is the second best Cowboy QB since Aikman. Speaks volumes.
But who knows..maybe Jerrah will draft Tyler Wilson next year.
Speaking as someone who has been downvoted multiple times you can't let it get to you.
I didn't downvote you. I think downvotes are silly
Its cool. I welcome the downvotes. Its funny to me that some people do that because they really have no response or cant contribute to a conversation. Just sniping like a little beyotch hiding in the bushes.
I agree. I think it hurts the board. A down vote has replaced " I disagree and here's why...."
People take the vote thing too seriously. For someone that doesn't care, Black Shipley, you sure seem to be letting it get to you by posting about it. Why even comment that a couple guys downvotes you? Big deal.
I think that Romo is talented enough to be a championship QB. He just doesn't have the focus and drive to be one.
I agree that talent isnt the issue imo.
Haha. Ok navy. Whatever you say. I post about them to mock the downvoters. Can dispute my take? Downvote!
I couldnt care less about the voting. Im always going to post what I think, and will always be amused by the cowardly snipers.
Again, why insult them if you couldn't care less? The most it should register is a "meh". Usually if I don't care about something it wouldn't even register a spot on the noggin.
He is a very good athlete who before he got the big contract was a regular guy. Had no ego (hell in college he scrimmaged with the against the women's basketball team) but Jones ruin him.............Romo acts and thinks he is on the same level as Tom Brady.
I guess you and I are just different, navyhorn. It registered on the noggin because it happened. not caring is not the same as being oblivious to something. But whatever. Doesnt really matter one way or the other. The Boys will not be able to do anything without a championship level qb bc their defense is far from it.
Agreed, I would do away with down votes if I were 247.
