How many teams are realistically still alive for the national title game?
National Director of Scouting & Recruiting Analyst
That's about it.
ND, Alabama, Georgia for sure.
Florida, Florida State outside shots.
KState, Oregon, Clemson need miracles to happen.
ND, Bama, Georgia, UF and Oregon. That's it.
I guess you could count FSU if Bama lost to Auburn and/or Georgia lost to Georgia Tech. Otherwise, their computer ranking is too low to pass the others.
FSU is still #10 in the AP Poll. While it doesn't count toward the BCS and they are ranked several spots higher in the coaches poll, it's hard for me to believe their would be public sentiment for moving them in position for the BCS championship game even with a win over Florida.
The AP delivers in-depth college football game coverage, highlights and the AP Top 25 Poll.
When they boat-race a mighty SEC team, they will move up big time in the Human polls.
I agree that their computer score is too low. Though Clemson boat-racing South Carolina would help as well.
I want to quip that somehow Ou will make it to choke again. But I just do not see it happening. If ND wins they are in. If they get beat they still might be. If Bama wins out they are in. If the East SEC team beats them they are in. Should FSU be in. Maybe but they wont be. I would say it will be ND and Bama.
