from recruiting season kicking into full gear, so I want to remind you about signing up for the free text alerts and the options you have available.
As you know we launched text alerts a month ago on Hookem. If you are an annual subscriber and haven’t signed up for alerts, I encourage you to do so. It’s a great way to stay on top of the news when you are on the go or away from your computer.
If you are a monthly member, I suggest you upgrade your account to an annual subscription.
Not only will you receive text alerts to Hookem, but you also save 10 percent.
I realize there are some that are hesitant to get locked into an annual, but if you’ve been a member here for a few months or longer, you know what type of coverage Jeff, Gerry, Blake, Dave and I provide and that’s not changing. Also as I said, if you’re planning on being here for a while, financially it’s the best option.
To take advantage of this offer, follow these steps.
STEP 1: Upgrade your account
No. 1. UPGRADE your monthly subscription to an ANNUAL subscription.
No. 2. Click the "Upgrade" link/tab located at the top right of the site. The upgrade box is marked in green.
No. 3. Upgrade your account.
No. 4. After completing the Upgrade process, you will need to sign up for text alerts.
No. 5. Click on the "Alerts" link located in the horizontal nav under "Settings" (Located in the "My Accounts" section: See above)
No. 6. Enter your active mobile number where you would like to receive text alerts.
No. 7. Check the box indicating which specific alerts you wish to receive.
Example: Texas Football
No. 8. Click "Save"

Well worth it guys. Like Bobby said, recruiting will come into full swing shortly and if you want to stay on top of it all, it's a great way to do so.

But Texas has no recruiting momentum so all of the text messages will be about our targets committing to our rivals. Why would I want text messages that put my new iPhone in danger of being smashed? Does 247 have a phone replacement policy?
Seriously though, the texts are a nice addition and great way to know when to come racing to the board to read about big news. Thanks guys.
just wondering... is this for overseas also?
Good question. I'm not sure on that. I bet Bobby can find out.
No, domestic only.
And domestic means the entire US, not just Texas. ;-)
For some reason, it won't let me put in my cell number for the text alerts....Cna you help me out?
Will we continue to receive email notices/updates?
I thought domestic was just Texas. Isn't Oklahoma considered overseas?
It might be due to the fact that cell phones didn't exist when you died

If not overseas, it's certainly foreign.

Asking the tech guys now.
The mobile number field should be there now. It wasn't showing up about an hour ago, but we have fixed the bug.
