CBS Analyst & former OU player Spencer Tillman
"Our play is disinterested and soft! Time to clean house!!!!!!! This isn't Sooner Football! Sorry Sooner Nation! Nobody loves them more."
Sounds like Brian Jones describing Texas after the RRR. My guess is after the Stoops brothers spend another off season together they fix the defense. In addition with Landry Jones graduating it is a plus for the OU program and OU will run an offense similar to KSU with Bell at QB.
"Leadership is wisdom, courage and great carelessness of self"
To a somewhat lesser extent, bowls are to Stoops as RRR is to Mack. He wins them occasionally but they're usually a disaster.
I would take those "loses" in BCS championsip games (or other BCS games) any day.
I agree! I was at the RRR this year. Before the game Oklahoma looked like they were ready to take our heads off !!!
They were fired up for that game. I didn't see that fire before the game with the Aggies. They looked flat!!!!!!!!!
I was surprised how much more speed the aggies had compared to the Sooners last night.
I thought they were soft especially on the goal line. And once aggies got up in the 3rd. Qt they completely quit.
OU quit after getting hit in the mouth? I'm shocked, shocked I say!
what's that say about our's? aTm beat OU by 4 TD's. OU beat us by five TD's. both on neutral field's.
i'm glad we got the last word in, and more painful than passing long kidney stone, i have to say what everyone here knows. not by 9 TD's, but aTm would have kicked our @$$ had we played them this season. great season for aggy, but you made your midnight run. stop asking to play Texas. go to hell.
as far as OU. bad, bad bowl loss, but they still beat Texas like red-headed freckled step-child in the cotton bowl. what's that say about Texas dealing w/ de-commitments and continuous coaching searches? i'm more worried about Texas than if i were an OU fan.
What are they going to fix it with? When Mike left for the Arizona job, you didn't have half the teams in the conference running that offense. The Big 12 has changed since his first go around. I did enjoy seeing Bob and Mike yelling at each other on the sideline. One of the problems with nepotism.
OTOH, what excuse does OU have for their inability to score with a 4 year starter at QB? Maybe it is the complete lack of a running game, and the fact that everyone has figured out that Bell is no Collin Klein.
Lets not kid ourselves the Stoops know how to coach defense and they have some athletes..............I wish they were bad coaches and had no talent but that is just not the case.............IMHO
For alot of Mack's shortcomings in the RRR he seems to always get the team ready for A&M.
2011 - 27-25 Texas
2010 - 17 - 24 ATM
2009 - 49 -39 Texas
2008 - 49 - 9 Texas
2007 - 30 - 38 ATM
2006 - 7 - 12 ATM
2005 - 40 - 29 Texas
2004 - 26 - 13 Texas
2003 - 46 - 15 Texas
2002 - 50 - 20 Texas
2001 - 21 - 7 Texas
2000 - 43 - 17 Texas
1999 - 16 - 20 ATM
1998 - 26 - 24 Texas
Not saying Texas would win or lose if we played ATM this year but chances are Mack would have had the team ready to play unlike he does at the RRR 3 out of every 4 years.

as unpleasant of a thought, had we played them last night, they likely would have kicked our @$$ and run up the score to the laughing and joy of their fans, players, and coaches. they just had a better team this season. they would have had the last laugh. eff them, they didn't get it. they lose A LOT after this season.
one hit wonder. everybody wang chung tonight. no worries. and they can stop asking to play Texas. they divorced Texas. forget it. enjoy the SEC. your @$$ isn't seeing a playoff bid any faster than your grandchildren.
OU was definitely not headhunting against Manziel like they would have against a UT QB. I assumed it was because of Stoops former relationship with Sumlin.
They got whipped in the trenches on both sides
I want to see how Manziel does when he's not playing behind a 1st round laden NFL ready line. With the line they're losing we'll see how stocked they are to replace them. A lot harder to play QB once your line is weak and everyone in your conference had a season to adjust to you.
It will be interesting and I wouldn't be surprised if aTm loses 4 next year.

yup....we should know..........
That's BS. If Mack had Stoops' record on BCS games, you'd be pissing and moaning about how he couldn't get it done when it counts. For all the fluffing that Stoops receives on this board, he hasn't done a whole lot the last 4 years. Aside from beat up on a coach most seem to think sucks dog balls.
Agree with that part.
We should thank God we didn't get paired against them in the Jerry Bowl.
It would have been really ugly.
Not me..............if Mack had won the number of Big 12 championships and played in the number of BCS championships as Stoops I would say anybody would be stupid to complain................just so you know!
It will be interesting to see. Sumlin and Manziel sure lucked out with the talent sherman left. I would not be surprised at all. You can only run for your life so far.
I can't remember seeing a qb have as much time in the pocket as we saw Manziel had last night. He could have taken a nap in the pocket last night.
Something I thought of last night listening to the announcers talk about Manziel, he could potentially leave after next season since it's likely he might graduate.
Why come back when you are likely going to lose our NFL OL? Another dominating year against the SEC will do wonders for his draft stock, likely a 2nd round guy which his apex.
Had we played a&m in the Cotton Bowl we would have gotten steam rolled.
