But the losses are to Baylor and TCU, would you still consider it a good year?
I guess that depends on how good Baylor and TCU are.
Those are two games I think Texas is going to be favored in, but games I could see going the other way.
For the record, I think Texas does beat West Virginia and Oklahoma in 2012.
Both of them being in the 2nd half of the season, I would be more inclined to think we win those.
I would be able to handle a loss to TCU much better than I would another loss to Baylor. We should kill them this year.
+1 ... Will always up vote any prediction of beating ou. Hook 'em!
Baylor needs to be drilled. Big time. With no call the day after. I even think they should be tied to a mailbox, in the hot sun as well.
If Baylor and TCU are good, then yes, I could live with it and would consider it a good year. Would hate a 3 game losing streak to Baylor though.
Beat OU but lose to TCU and Baylor? No, we have to hammer Baylor. I don't see us losing to TCU or Baylor. This will be the toughest defense they play position by position. You won't see our safetys getting slow jumps and taking bad angles and then lunging at the feet of skill players, just almost making the tackle. "Missed him by That much!" Maxwell Smart.
Baylor feasted on exposive plays. Those will be few and far between, especially with the hurt we will bring on the quarterback. Expect us to win the turnover battles against most of our opponents.

Texas is not losing to Baylor. They lost 3 of the best players to ever play there.
I'll be pleased if we go 10-2 and lose to Iowa State and Kansas. Anything over 9 wins will be considered a good year in my eyes.
But there would be plenty of "what ifs" if this team beats OU, OSU and WV, while losing to some easier foes.
I also think we're more likely to lose to Tech in Lubbock than Baylor or TCU at home.
The clown who does the Big 12 blog at ESPN has us losing to both of those through week 7 and has OU and TCU both undefeated. I can almost guarantee that he will pick TCU to beat us too. I really should cancel my subscription over there, but I do like the magazine.
Depends on how the rest of the conference shakes out. If Texas wins the big 12 under that scenario then yes it is a good year.
Yes, because we beat OU.
275-0 scoring margin
Dana X Bible's National Championship team
My thoughts, too.
Would be an outstanding year. We have no consistent playmakers at WR or TE. The OL is iffy. Our starting QB had 4 TD passes the entire year.
I'd be just fine with that. Wins over blowU, West Virginia and the evil K State. The only real downer is we'd be in the top 10 at 6-0 having beaten blowU so the Baylor loss would sting, but so be it.
Ouch, just thinking about this one hurts me, HOWEVER, It means we beat OU and KSt and we never beat Kst., so....
I'll consider it an almost good year.
But I fully expect us to rough up Baylor and TCU. Heck, are only loss this year may be Kst.
How about we just win 'em all? Then, we don't have to decide on an answer.
It would be horrible if we lost to Baylor again! I live in Waco and it is almost unbearable to lose to them in any sport especially football! They talk about it for months and months and months! They are still talking here almost everyday about this being the Year of the Bear!
I think this year is going to be the Year of the HORNS!!!!!!!
If UT wins their bowl game, yes. Otherwise, no.
"I've heard some of our fans say, 'We were always an SEC school. We just didn't know it," athletic director Bill Byrne said.
Do we win the conference/what bowl are we in?
Can't stomach another year of hearing from OU friends
If we beat K-State, then yes, it will be a success.
"I don't hate you, I'm just not necessarily excited about your existence."
No more miracle QB at Baylor will make them struggle to be a 500 team this year and they are not going to beat Texas. TCU will be a better challenge but by then our offense is hitting all cylinders so I see us winning by two touchdowns on Thanksgiving. The games to worry about are the early season match ups, but I like our chances to go 10-2. This team will get its swagger back and no one is going to want to play us next year or late this year.
