behind the powerhouses Utah State, Northwestern, Boise Stare and Louisville.
Any chance Texas could get Pat Fitzgerald when the position comes open?
1. Louisville ranked 4/2 spots below Florida?
2. Five SEC teams in Top 10
Dude, Saban is being announced as Texas' new head coach tomorrow. Didn't you get the memo?
Baylor should have been higher IMO.

Man...I would have loved to see Oregon vs Alabama.
At least UT is the highest ranked team with 4 losses.
275-0 scoring margin
Dana X Bible's National Championship team
Congrats to Alabama. But I will always believe that their incredible rise to success began with the injury to Colt in 2009. Who knows, might be Texas with 2 or 3 more crystal trophies....IMO
Not with Gilbert taking over in 2010.
Ridiculous that Florida remained top ten. Louisville stomped the Gators.
A little off topic, but interesting item from Oklahoma City paper...
"Look how different the world would look if Northern Illinois had checked in at No. 17 (instead of 16) in the BCS.
OU would have played Florida in the Sugar Bowl.
Texas would have played Texas A&M in the Cotton Bowl, unless DeLoss Dodds had pulled enough strings to avoid the Aggies."
Thought they were playing best ball in Big 12 end of year.
I'll not only agree but I'll go a step further and say Oklahoma State is a definite top 25 team.
They are a controversial fumble call from beating Texas. On top of that, on the Jalen Saunders punt return for TD late in the game versuses OU, a flag is thrown for block in the back. Once Saunders scores the td, the refs wave off the flag for whatever reason. however replay shows its a clear block in the back. (no question). Home cookin in Norman?
That's 2 wins over 2 of the best in the Big 12 snatched from the pokes.
They are better then Louisville. They just couldn't get up for the game because they felt they should be playing for the NC
Why ND is ranked where they are is a surprise to me. Does anyone really think UGA and Aggy wouldn't curb stomp them too.
Very important not to fall off the map. A top 20 finish is still very respectable. Just ask USC, Tennessee, Auburn, Arkansas, Penn State, UCLA, Wisconsin, and Miami.
Recruiting is the life blood of any football program, and winning is the best advertising available. With all our problems, the football program is still very much alive. It wouldn't be without the win in the Alamo Bowl. And some here called it meaningless.

Louisville took Florida apart and some parts may not ever be found. As one Louisville fan told me in the middle of the third quarter,"we won this game on the first play of the game." Florida was never in this game. The top of SEC may be the best, but florida and LSU stunk it up pretty good. I'm beginning to think their rep for great defense is partially based on the types of offenses they face. I don't think Saben's comments about hurry up offenses was really about protecting players health. I'm not taking anything away from Alabama but it was pretty obvious ND was not the first or second best team in the country and they were lucky they were not playing Louisville last night or they would have been exposed as being about the 15th or 17th best team in the country.
K ST, Louisville, and Baylor and probably Okie St. too. I still can't believe they beat Oklahoma but then this Oklahoma team only got up for a couple of "big games". In some respects their season is more disappointing than Texas's.

I agree. I am having a hell of a conversation with an ND buddy. Says they would have won the B1G, ACC, BE, B12 and P12 this year if they were in conference. Entertaining to say the least. I never bought into how good they were. I think they are the same guys we have seen the last several years.
