OB poster heard there was a fight in the locker room after the game. Can anyone verify.

I read that comment a bit different.
After MB gave his post game speech a younger player made a comment about "no f'n awards this time" and an upper classmen got in his face. No fight but nose to nose until wylie broke it up...then Mack came back in and lost his shit at everyone.
Clap clap clap clap
The freshman did mean "what no f ing awards this time" in sarcasm right?
If this is close to true, I see that the "entitlement" feeling is still around with the new crowd coming in. I hope it stops as it is a big part of this team's (coaches included) lack of performance.
If this is true, I'd take Texas and the points next Saturday.
I read it the exact opposite
Hardly. It has everything to do with the players seeing straight through Mack's bullshit.
I read it that senior was pissed, no fresh baked cookies this week
Too bad they waited three hours to finally fight
Same way I did, but I read it as the freshman being sarcastic (and somewhat entitled to expect more even in a loss). There is probably only one freshman on that team who has performed well enough to even open his mouth after the game and I doubt it was him- Grey.
What I was saying is that I hope the freshman aren't showing up with the entitlement attitude that was present a couple of years ago with this team (and may still be there).
I sure as hell hope so.
That's too contradictory to make sense.
Ketchum still doing what he does best....
I don't see a way to read it other than a sarcastic comment by the freshman. Love it.
My money is on Daje Johnson. And I love the comment. Only would have been better if "what? no f--king juice boxes?" was said.
If a freshman thinks the post game soccer trophies Mack gives out are lame you have to think others think the same. Also tells me the players don't have full respect for Mack. I can't help but wonder if post game awards are a big part of Mack's motivating the team? Only positive motivations, no or very little punishment or anything negative. Sad.
Pepper11 and Goo have it right. Everybody can see through Mack's bullshit by now, even freshmen, and most have been able to see through it for some time. This is a clear sign of lack of respect for Mack, for good reason. Mack has been resting on his laurels from winning 2 conference championships in 15 years plus the NC on the strength of the greatest performance by a player in college history, enjoying the limelight and blowing smoke up everybody's asses including the players. Even if you are 18 or 20 years old, Mack's bullshit is as clear as water. I don't blame the player because he is dead on.
We are right back to where we were in 2010 when Mack literally lost the team about this same point in time or slightly sooner. The coaches that got fired had already checked out as had most of the team. Mack had earlier called out the coaches saying he didn't feel like he could trust them, then said he was really disappointed in the seniors. Both excuses were feeble attempts to deflect criticism to where it belonged. Mack allowed the OL recruiting to drop to a pathetic level beginning in 2006, which led to having the porous OL we had starting in 2009. Colt and Shipley masked it, but the OL was terrible.
Look for Mack to use this locker room incident to deflect blame against the player instead of acknowledging that this is just a manifestation of morale issues, all caused by pathetic, tired and ineffective leadership from the head coach. Mack puts up with Manny's idiotic mugging and stunting and he has all year. That is on Mack for tolerating it. The players are more frustrated than we are and they can see what the problem is. Mack Brown #1 and Manny Diaz #2 and Brian Harsin #3. Those are the top three issues with the team and the players can't do a damn thing about any of them.
Hopefully it was not a player or coach that told somebody bout the fight. These things happen all the time with fighting within the team, it is more disturbing to me that the story got out, because that is suppose to be kept in the locker room. I do think that Mack has lost this team, he needs to respectfully step down at the end of the year and we need to hire Patterson. We need to get a coach that is going to instill some toughness into the team because it is seriously lacking right now, one of the softest teams I have seen play. The players seem to have taken on the identity of their head coach.
The players know Mack is soft and weak, hell they knew it back in '10 once Colt and Orakpo left and soft ass Mack and his cronie Mad Dog let everyone slide on workouts and such. Wylie won't let that happen anymore, but the players still have not gained any respect for Mack because they can see he's soft. Hopefully this incident is a wake up call to Mack that everyone sees he's full of shit, his own players don't respect him, and it's time to hang it up... But we all know there's no way his delusional ass would see the truth.
This has been one of the single worst coaching jobs I've ever seen. It's one thing to not have talent and struggle, but to just not show up multiple games in a season and be disrespected by your own players because they see you're weak... That's a new low. We're in crisis gentlemen, and without change NOW we will not recover.
