Took some time today to assess the aggy schedule in their inagural SEC season. Heh heh, this outta be good. Here are my FEARLESS PREDICTIONS on the outcome:
Louisiana Tech = W
Florida = L
SMU = W
South Carolina State = W
Arkansas = L
Ole Miss = W
LSU = L
Auburn = L
Mississippi State = L
Alabama = L
Sam Houston State = W
Missouri = L
5-7 with 2 of their wins coming from FCS teams. The death spiral begins when Florida lambasts them in CS and gets even better when they struggle against SMU. Even if they pick up a 6th win against Mizzou or Miss State, they can only count one of the FCS wins toward their bowl eligibility. THAT should impress a few recruits.

6-6 or at best 7-5 I'm thinking.
They are gone, I am glad and I do not care what they do. Have never liked them and will not miss them. Would not be unhappy if they got their butts kicked over there. Unless they pull out the cash and start buying like the Sherril era, bet that happens.
After going through the chainsaw of the SEC west, Sam Houston might give them a run for their money.......Remember, SHSU played for the FCS championship this past year with a young ball club. Pretty well got the entire team back. Don't sleep on them !!!
How hysterical would a SHSU loss be? Remember Arkie State? They still talk about that embarrassment.
So, if they win more than 5, who do they beat? Aub, Miss State & Mizzou will not be pushovers.
Probably 6-6, but I will revile (no pun intended) in 5-7 or worse.
First off. Plus one for the thread. Secondly, Sam Houston State will not be a given at all and dependent upon where the Ole Miss game is played, another one.
Does Gilbert get to suit up this season? If he was to beat them at SMU I might orgasm. That would give them a 4 win season
Gilbert is eligible this year!
Farmers play Ole Miss in Oxford and SMU in Dallas...gonna be a rough road! I just don't see 7 wins.
I couldn't care less what Aggy does or doesn't do. Aggy is dead to me.
I don't know. I think SMU is quite capable of beating them.
Losing to Arkansas is becoming one of their new SEC "traditions"!
6-6 or 7-5 is on a very good day!
You have a new Qb who hasn't played at all... in a new offensive scheme (Run & Shoot) along with a new defense coord. on a so-so defense??? 6-6 is a very optimistic outlook!
Then again, I could give a rats arse on what they do...

Why not? Losing to Arkansas was another tradition from SWC.
That opener at La Tech isn't going to be easy.
The La Tech folks that I've talked to can't wait for that game. They feel confident.
Who cares. The less posts we have regarding the Aggies the better this board will be.
Well Papa... you do have a really good point!
5-7 is about right for them this year +/- 1 win. I would not be surprised if they lose one of LaTech, SMU or SHSU. I would also not be surprised if they beat Ole Miss or Miss. State. I can only hope that they end up going 4-8. That would be glorious!
When it comes to the aggys...less is more for me too, but you know you'll enjoy watching them suffer next year. C'mooooon...admit it.
LT, SMU, and SHSU will not be the gimmees they think they will.
I actually think the problem is bigger. Why would city kids want to go to A&M?
So they can learn a million and a half pagan rituals that mean absolutely nothing in the real world?
So they can spend 4 years in a podunk town going to the Dixie Chicken?
If they have a choice to matriculate in a real college town like Austin or Baton Rouge, it seems like A&M is fighting an uphill battle. I can't imagine what my life would be like after spending time in a sh*thole like College Station.
I like 2-10
