now this is full fledged panic and overreaction.
That is good news!
David is tough both physically and mentally and I know he will do everything he can do to get back to where he was before the injury. We do need him. I think he will be a great leader for this team.
My prayers are for a quick recovery!
Step away from the ledge dude. You could hurt yourself if you fall. . See my first post on this thread. Its very unusual to have a serious hamstring injury during lifting drills. We have almost three weeks before August training starts and then another two weeks until the first game. I'll put it at 95% that Ash is completely solid by Sept. 1.
Agree, but I believe it is only 9 days until
the kids report.
Time to calm down. Very reliable source has told Sean it is just a strain.
Crisis averted. Back to regularly scheduled programing.
A strain is still a semi-serious injury for a guy that needs every single rep he can get. He's going to miss a couple of weeks.
Depends on the level of the strain.
At this point, I see no reason not to take UT officials at their word.
The chances that David Ash would be out walking around the day of a serious injury to his hammy are slim. That says a lot to me.

When does practice start? A week from Monday?
I wasn't on this site last year during the 'our-backs-are-back-wait-not-so-much' saga; but as someone who followed the saga closely at the time, I'll say that few things strike fear into my heart like 'it's just a strain; day-to-day.' I don't begrudge the staff their ability to conduct disinformation campaigns; I even (grudgingly) admire it. However, it's difficult to watch how injury notifications were handled last year and think we can take them at their word.
KEEP PANICKING PEOPLE! WE'RE NOT OUT OF THE WOODS YET!

Jeff received an email from UT sports info.
Injury described as not severe and day-to-day.
10 days from now!
Who believes what comes out of the SID on injuries?
Mack said Bergeron had a cramp. Shipley and Bergeron were day to day for months it seemed.
This thread is just so much win.
Best thing to do is freak out and assume the worst. That way if it is really bad then no big deal you have already assumed the worst. If it is not bad then you get great news and it makes your day.
This reminds me of the day my mom and dad died in that awful accident.
