I think that White just came into the program with to high of expectations. He didnt even get a chance to prove his self on or of the field.Coming in as a true freshman and blowing it up just was not in the cards for the young man. I wish he would have gave it one more year to see how he develops in the Longhorns system. It was a shame it didnt pan out for him and I wish him all the best @ MIssou. He messed up with the shit talking in the end but he still was just a 18 year old young man with alot of room to grow.
He "had a chance", sorry. That's simply a false issue.
To everyone taking what they perceive to be the high road, if you truly watch sports without enemies and adversaries, you are doing it wrong. No one is putting out hits or using voodoo dolls when they say they'll enjoy rooting against the guy. They're just being honest.
Agree with CTJ here. He received game time reps and overwhelmingly underperformed. He was at the same practices and conditioning sessions as his fellow receivers and clearly didn't separate.
When the Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiasi starts playing LB for OU, then I'll start having animosity (I really hated that guy). Until then, I'll just watch for the pure enjoyment and hope the kid does well.
I guess part of me doesn't want him to experience success as that would in some ways provide vindication for his ill-will towards Texas... That he was better off without us.
I want him to experience a bit of regret! I want him to realize that Texas is a hell of a place, but that it was his attitude and immaturity that soured the situation. After this "Come to Jesus" moment is realized... I wish him nothing but success!
On a side note: IF he does pan out, that's going to be one hell of a salty WR duo w/ he & DGB...
None of you know what exactly was said, how it was said, or the context. What if he was just giving an honest opinion to a question pose to him? Not everyone will enjoy their time on the 40 acres.
How can you be so obtuse?
The drunk coach deserves him. Good luck with that griddle iron of a field.
Says the guy who never went to UT.
Recognizing that mistakes are made isn't the same as excusing them. You make them of this magnitude and there is a price to pay.
i still see some current UT players tweeting with him every now and then. Makes me wonder if that rumor about him badmouthing UT to recruits was even true.
or maybe it never actually happened. seriously has this story been confirmed by anyone credible...not jesus.
Yeah. Guy by the name of Demarco.

But if my 19 year old mistakes involved an attempt to derail one of the biggest football programs in the country, I would absolutely understand why lots of people would take issues with my actions.
Disciplina praesidium civitatis
thats like hoping your ex wife will realize her mistake in dumping you for the hedge fund millionaire to be.
holding grudges lets "them win". and screws up your own karma (is that a new age pc enough view, huh?)
the best revenge is living well. I hope Darius does fantastic. That he becomes a world class player. But I hope UT goes on to win a national championship and we all know that won't happen with Missouri.
If you want revenge, think how it will feel if he is an all american receiver for a 4-6 team while we are in a BCS bowl or playing for a NC.
You described the Asstard very well.
Who said anything about "revenge"?
There's a difference between doing something to someone who has harmed you and observing someone who you think is a dipshitted buffoon and enjoying their next trainwreck. In fact, there are about 1000 differences. It's not the fault of any of us if this dufus can't pull himself together and I have zero shame in thinking "serves him right" as his behavior does him in.
Conversely, if/when Darius White is an All-SEC guy in 2-3 years and GameDay does a segment on him and he discloses to them about his raw deal at Texas and says a bunch of negative shit about the program, Mack Brown, and most of the team, I am going to be entertained by watching a lot of the responses on this board.
Not everyone has the same moral and ethical code that you do. Not everyone has the same perception. Every single employee that has ever been fired from a business has a guy somewhere behind him still with the company talking to others about how that dude got a raw deal. Just because this guy was a goofball, it doesn't mean he left the team without friends or sympathizers. I'd be stunned if someone of his prominence didn't have both after a 2 year stint.
He didn't enjoy his time on the 40
The Phelps clan has never done anything to me personally, but I still think they are douchebags and hope to see them fail.
As usual, neverwenttuut's point is well, pointless.
I hold no ill will towards the guy. I will wish for the worst for him if he ever plays against Texas, but until then, I hold no sour grapes for a guy that is no longer being detrimental to Texas. Guy was an unhappy 19 year old, said some unintelligent things, and now he is no longer on the team.
I'm just one of those guys that doesn't get too wrapped up in hoping for the worst of people that don't effect my life. I understand you all's point of view, I've just never found myself going that route, and I won't be a hypocrite and talk bad about this 19 yr kid, and then in another thread say 19 year old kids that play for Texas fragile and young.
