The Tide just offered Texas running back commit Daniel Gresham of Fort Worth All Saints. That makes offer No. 8 for him.
Check me out on twitter: http://www.twitter.com/247Blake
Got to keep him and Knox
Think it's commitable?
This is the All Out assault in an attempt to pummel Texas into mediocrity. Alabama and every other program in the country knows how dangerous a program Texas can be, and if they can steal some of the best prospects from their state now while they are on a down swing before they trend upward again, they have a shot at setting the program back for a long time. The strong prey on the weak. Especially when the weak happens to be a sleeping giant who no one wants to wake up.
It sounds like a "we see what you did yesterday with Suddes" statement from Bama to UT... who gives a flip? I'm not worried about it
If he wants to be a Horn, it will be.
It will be non commitable in a couple of months. Saban hands 200 offers a year, only 30 of those are committable. We will see how this goes..
It's a committable offer...
...until National Signing Day.
Man, I swear with each passing day Texas boards resemble aggy boards circa 2010 more and more. This isn't some deep rooted conspiracy. Alabama has won 3 of the past 4 NCs, and they're taking full advantage of that. Nothing more, nothing less. It's hilarious to think they give two shits about a Texas program who can't beat the likes of TCU and Kansas State.
Surely hes not stupid enough to think that that offer will be there when National signing day rolls around considering all the offer they have out.
So he's a football player not a track star.
He has to attend camp to actually commit. So if he attends, looks less than what they want, they will punt.

Folks, Alabama has very, very few offers that are committable out there. The rest are simply attempts to get kids to their camps.
If Saban doesn't like you once you get there, he just doesn't talk to you and you get the picture real quick.
Blake posted that Gresham, and I quote, "....picks up an Alabama offer." I respond by saying he must be a football player not a track star. Am I missing, Bobby?
I get all that committable business, but the Tide's interest in a player is always a good thing these days. They are the measuring stick.
Then why do they offer them a scholarship? Why not say, come to campus and we will further talk about it? I just don't agree with this. It is shady, but it is what it is... it is just the world of recruiting we live in. Would not surprise me this goes back to the 80's with the $ec tactics...
The scholarship offer is like an appeal to come on down and visit. Then it follows as Bobby puts it.
Doubt he was trying to reply directly to you. Probably quoted you on accident.

The SEC of signatures....
Bobby, even though I think Saban is the devil(mostly out of jealousy). Nobody can argue with his track record. Is he the type of guy ( competitive, hard working, and always thriving to be the best) that could retaliate against the recent hire by Mack. I know I am being totally paranoid, but are they pulling enough weight right now to be able to toy with our recruits? Cough A'Shawn cough

No, I think they are just offering a ton of kids in an attempt to get them to their camps. They're doing it everywhere, not just in Texas.
