Oh geez, please don't make your son transfer Mr. Jones. Entitled doofus.
Cayleb is no Case McCoy... he actually does have talent and will be a fantastic player for UT.
Major told the entire world that the offense will not be able to simply change from what they have been all year because they had 15 days of practice post Harsin.
If the Jones' were smart, they would recognize that Goodwin is graduating and Davis is a Senior next year with Shipley as a Junior.
Cayleb's day will come... when you are as good as Cayleb is... you can be entitled.
At least the McCoys kept their disdain for the way things were going private... both of these idiots have posted shit recently, and the little brother as well.
Don't let the door hit you, fam.
Call it silly if you want, but I'm serious. If you want to sit in the stands and bitch, fine. When you take to social media you have gone too far. If you aren't happy with the way I coach you have two options. You can come to me as a man and we can discuss your son and his role, and then deal with whatever I tell you, or you can leave and go find happiness somewhere else.
And, for your statement that he should be judged by his actions, fine. Look at his Twitter comments. Some of them are negative or he retweets other people's negative comments.
Either way, the shit would change or he would be gone. I tell my players all the time, I want you here, but I don't need you here.
Missed that. More stupita.
With all due respect, if you are willing to punish one of your college players for the social media actions of your player's family members, then you aren't doing your job.
Your job is to help your players excel in the classroom and on the field. Your job is to see that your players go to class, get good grades, and graduate. Your job is to make sure your players spend time in the weight room and film room when the homework gets completed.
If you are willing to waive the responsibilities of your job over a father's tweets, and send some kid packing when you know that his education will suffer, then I don't want you coaching my son.
I am sure that Mack Brown agrees with me.
When I saw this headline I was expecting a topic complimenting Caleb Blueitt's dad on his excellent post earlier today. Boy was I ever disappointed to find the whining tweets from a former college and NFL player who should know better.

You have 1300 posts on this board and they all say the same thing. Just paste a big "L" on your forehead and be done with it.
CJ seemed pretty happy after the game, so as long as he's happy I don't really give two shits what his dad thinks.
With all due respect, if you are getting on Twitter and bitching about your sons lack of playing time, I don't want to coach your kid.
All of those responsibilities are true, but you missed winning, recruiting, and making sure that your players are buying in to the system. You also forgot to mentioned accountability.
Winning is affected by negativity. It's hard enough to get players to buy into a system as it is. Add in negative parents looking to get others to join in on their negativity doesn't help with that.
Recruiting becomes MUCH tougher when parents of potential recruits see crap like this. This in turn also affects winning.
And, since you missed what I said in my previous post, Cayleb has tweeted negative stuff also. More than once. Where is he getting this reinforced? At home by his dad and brother.
So yes, I would talk to the dad and if he wasn't willing to get on board and get his sons in check also, they would all be gone. And this in no way would effect his education. He could transfer at the semester like 1,000's of other students and he would be fine.

All of this is a complete shock. Never would have guessed it in a million years.
National Director of Scouting & Recruiting Analyst
I never liked the recruit and never had a good vibe about the family either after you guys reported their flirtations with Auburn.
...good stuff GH
Just me, but I'd like to be in the room when Darryl Wyatt reads these tweets

Untrue. These are comments from a player's dad. The dad feels entitled. So what? The dad's acting like a douche on Twitter. So what? Maybe you should sit a few out, champ.
Signatures are stupid. You should block them.
i bet he transfers to wherever his brother signs
Put him on ignore, it does wonders. Also, please stop quoting him, it makes all of our IQ's reduce to negative numbers.
"I don't hate you, I'm just not necessarily excited about your existence."
Love the understandstatement!!!!!!....Priceless
Remember when Caleb was lying and popping up at aggy plus flirting with decommitment all during his recruitment?
Where do you think he got that attitude from?
It's insane, especially since a senior receiver just played his last game, Applewhite is far more likely to use 4 wide than Harsin was, and Caleb has a good chance if he improves his game to be in the rotation during his sophomore year.
If you don't think the attitude of a father doesn't impact that of his son....well, I have nothing else for you.
This social media stuff is just plain stupid. The things that dads have said for eons about their kids to their buddies are now put out there for everyone to see. Everyone knows people who complain because their kids don't play enough and we don't think anything about it. Half the reason people coach peewee teams is to ensure their kid plays. Mr. Jones should keep to the privacy of his coffee group and we should stop demonizing people who think highly of their children.
and the cluelessness of stupita continues. at least there is consistency.
