I too am most excited about what we are bearinv. Unfortunately, what i hear will likely sadden me.
LSU doesn't have a very good offense or a very good coach. We have no chance to win against them, but it would not be a shock to see a close-ish game.
It's a damn shame that it has come to this but I agree
LSU would overpower us on both sides of the ball. They have had a reasonably successful running game in the SEC. Against our front 7, they would look unstoppable.
You beat LSU by making Mettenberger pass. TCU beat us throwing 9 passes. KSU beat us (handily) throwing 14 passes.
Don't even get me started about their D against our O. That would be a blood bath along the LOS.
LSU offense would look real good against our D. Quit wishing for this match up. Texas hasn't stopped the run all year. LSU has 4 backs that will run on your ass.
And yet some seem to think that Daje would tranfer there.
"I don't hate you, I'm just not necessarily excited about your existence."
I do believe Mack will have a good next year with this team. However, my concern is that recruiting has or will suffer no matter what. My hope is that he will swallow his pride for UT and retire, leaving the next coach with a good team to build from. Tennessee is a good example of what can happen when a coach says past his prime and recruiting suffered. It can happen..
