He's currently ranked as the No. 329 overall draft prospect and the No. 26 DT available by CBS Sports. Those rankings make Moore either a seventh round pick or an undrafted free agent.
So, are you saying he was a poor take by Texas, the kid made a poor choice, or both?
I don't know his family situation so I can't say it was a poor choice. I think it means he'll have to work his tail off to make it to a training camp.
Has he hired an agent?
He definitely wasn't a poor take by Texas. He made some solid contributions to the defense this year. That in and of itself makes him a good take. He also had another year of eligibility where he could have worked himself up to a 3rd-5th round pick. For once, I don't think this had anything to do with Texas' evaluation.
I don't consider any player that could be drafted a "poor take." We took the risk of him leaving early when we signed him as a JUCO transfer.
If he tests out well, he could move into a 6th rounder. You can't teach his body size. If his athleticism grades out well, he'll get drafted on potential alone.
I owe you an upvote tomorrow.
"I don't hate you, I'm just not necessarily excited about your existence."
He probably didn't like going to school, thus the juco journey.
Got you covered. That was extremely well done
Thank you, sir. I owe you one as well
Can't say for sure but he's not coming back to Texas. He made it pretty clear in the statement he released that he's moving on with his career.
I'd like to know how he would do as a 3-4 nose tackle. I would like to see him with Houston if he can occupy 2 blockers and create one on one match ups for Watt and the OLBs.
Not Jeff but I'd say neither. He played well before getting hurt.
If he does well at the combine or the Texas pro day (assuming no combine invite) then he'll skyrocket. At this point it's all up to him and his own work ethic.
Show up to the workouts focused and prepared and he should improve his status. Fail to prepare and stink it up and he'll not get drafted at all.
