Great hire for Texas Tech. Now to see if they can keep Frazier.
Edit: Not likely on the Frazier front.

Losing Hinds, Gerun, and Aaron Brown. I guess that isn't surprising about Gerun since WVU is bringing in three C/PFs and a stretch 4.
Michael Orris taking off. Let's see, with Rodriguez and Spradling entrenched for another year and Foster, and Thomas on the way in, there might not be much PT for Orris. KSU looking to land a big guard.
Just a reminder that Andrew Wiggins still lists KU in his 4 finalists.
Of course, he guarantees a title if he goes to Kentucky.
I've reached a point where I believe this has to be expected...Wiggins to Kentucky that is
If Kentucky is on the list then they are the list
Very good hire by Tech. He may not be the greatest recruiter, but he is a very good coach and isn't a risk to implode like Gillespie. If the oil patch is back and they have enough money to reach into Dallas AAU basketball, they may be better sooner than later.

So much for the sooner than the later. Based on Jeff's report, SMU has outbid Tech on this year's Dallas 5* recruit. Oil money has always flowed to the Metroplex.
I don't know about "oil money," but that was the same Meyer piece I linked in the OP about 4 hours ago. Frazier had intimated for a week that Tech keeping Walker around was important.
Its not about oil money, Tubby refuses to play the AAU game$ so Tech won't be getting much talent out of the Dallas area moving forward & will probably have to look OOS or reach in-state.

TCU just added Hudson Price, son of Mark Price, but a lot taller at 6'6".
Doesn't look real fleet of foot but has some skills and looks fairly comfortable with the left hand; however, that is a way, way low release on his jump shot. That'll have to get corrected.
An interesting pick-up. The guy is reported to have offers from Vandy and St. Louis and to have recruiting interest picking up, yet he just became TCU's first out of state pick-up. Johnson seems to be doing a very good job there so far.
6'6 Shooting Guard, Hudson Price, The First Academy (Orlando, FL)
Looks like Frazier to SMU is official
Larry Brown strikes for the Ponies!
9 and 4 at Texas sucks!
- Jeff Howe
I wonder if Brown or SMU is going to regret Frazier's tweet. "Mu$tang," huh?
Iowa State asking for 2 years probation for impermissible phone calls from 2008-2011. Most of this preceded Hoiberg, and it is unclear from the article which programs were guilty of making the calls, but there is a reference to self-reporting violations in the football program.
Tubby Smith's contract being tweeted to call for $1.8 million a year for 6 years, which is exactly what he was making at Minnesota. That is more than twice what Gillispie was getting.
Baylor still alive after beating BYU 76-70 despite a late 3 point barrage by Matt Carlino, who hit 3 in a row in a 45 second span to turn a ten point deficit to three. Jackson finished with 24, putting him 10 short of breaking Dunn's single season point record for Baylor. Ahh, big deal. He's still 200 short of Durant's 06-07 season for Texas.
In the "you don't see that every day" department--
Baylor won the NIT final by 20 despite Iowa attempting 19 more fg and Baylor taking and making only 5 more ft. Iowa shot 26.5%. I guess that would explain the score. Baylor grabbing only 3 offensive rebounds explains the FGA discrepancy.
