Is Phil Bennet working pro bono? He's stealing a paycheck
Baylor hasn't had a lot to work with on defense in the modern era, and Briles in Mackovickian in his interest in actually defending well. Almost all of the talent on that team is on offense, and I'm not sure that AB will be around long enough to address it. That's if it really matters to him.
I got brains. I got big ol' brains. I got dinosaur brains.

The end result was perfect. But for a fumble baylor wins. We need them to win because I have zero doubt we can handle them. Our defense with all the problems is 2x ULM D and our offense is much better than theirs with the ability if needed to just run against them and keep them off the field. We need them fattened up for the killing so go Gaylor go.
I was in Waco last week and watched what Baylor called a win over Sam Houston... then they follow that mess up with an ugly win tonight?? No way they win 8 games this year... I count 6 loses starting with the 1st one next week, and the Iowa St. & Tech games are away!
You keep pressure on Florence, he'll continue to throw picks like he did tonight...
We hang a minimum of a half a hundy on them this year.
Perfect analogy. I think you could throw Mike Leach into that same category. They put most of their speed and athletic ability on offense, and just hope they can outscore everyone.
The ULM backs weren't bery fast, yet they scored on two long runs.
I think we hang 2 Gundys on them. 1 Gundy = 40
Exactly This. I wish more on this board could grasp this. I pull for the conference to be strong because competition makes everyone better. I also agree that if indeed "We're Texas" we don't need to hope anyone else loses to win recruiting battles. With no CCG and not much national appeal outside of Texas and OU we need the conference to be strong.
Our DBs are gonna have to be very physical with the recievers off the line. They cannot allow them to get behind them or it will be for 6. Slow the recievers and allow okafor and jeffcoat to work on Florence.
All I know is Baylor is in deep shit when they play anyone with a pulse. We beat them by 4-5 tds minimum
"I don't hate you, I'm just not necessarily excited about your existence."
Texas arrogance has returned!! That is until you lose to Osu
An observation & a question....
- Florence is a good qb but Baylor is going to miss RG3's running ability & incredible accuracy on deep throws.
- Where in the world was Seastrunk? The Baylor running game is not what it was last year putting the qb difference aside.
Interesting take on BU game, guys. Baylor stats overall about the same as the other two teams they faced prior to us - both SEC teams. Playing at home in front of their biggest crowd in history they had nothing to lose but Baylor's defense is terrible except in one area - turnovers. That is how we beat you last year, remember?
UT may run 50 times for 500 yards and beat Baylor by 25 but UT won't get any good QB recruits or WR which has been their biggest challenge in the last 3 years, along with OL. Brown wants to develop a SEC team (low risk offense, strong defense) but the challenge is when UT gets behind anyone by two TDs it is lights out.
Good luck in Stillwater. UT will need it, just like Baylor will in Morgantown.
Yes, you had similar stats as Arkansas and Auburn. I don't know if you've noticed but that's not saying much since both have already lost 3 games this year. Auburn played LSU and Clemson tough so maybe they aren't as bad as their record suggests, but losing 3 games in Sept. is never good.
Haterz gonna hate haTEXAS! Baylor will soon return to its rightful place, low to middle of the pack.. Briles will bolt to Arkansas after this season.. enjoy your post RGIII era and get ready for post Briles era.. poor, poor, poor, little bear.. you guys are slowly becoming the new gaggie of the big12.. \\m//
Well played sir
I assume that is just venom coming out of your mouth and not serious. No hate here, Briles isn't the least bit interested in Arkansas and Brown is closer to leaving than Briles at Baylor. Then you will want Brown. At least you guys will give us a game this year.
