"Don't know. Never had one"
-- D. Royal-Mack Brown how to coach a team after a losing season
Jacquez got into trouble this weekend after he apparently got sick during warm-ups prior to the game. He also was suspended for five games earlier in the year.
This most recent decision might not have been up to the baseball team and might have been made by the higher-ups in the athletic department.

I've confirmed with a UT official that he has been dismissed from the team.
I think a great goal for this team would be getting a two seed and competing for a regional title.
Buckets of adversity
Baseball has been smakebit from the beginning of the season.
is this an issue that would have him leaning towards transferring to Oregon?
I would love to down vote this story, but I cannot shoot the messenger. Anybody else ever feel that way about a post?
No. He had to take himself out of the game Sunday before he threw the first pitch because he was too "dehydrated" to pitch. Then the Mizzou female baseball boosters tweeted to thank them for taking him out the night before.
So in a blunt answer to your question, booze not weed.
What does this mean?? -- "Jacquez, 2-1 with a 5.79 ERA, missed his scheduled start at Missouri Sunday, leaving the mound after warming up before the bottom of the first inning." The kid warmed up and then left the game?
Never mind. Thanks for the info, utsal. Wow! Very aggressive...
Calling the Buicks. Praying to the porcelein gods. Those were the days.
"I've heard some of our fans say, 'We were always an SEC school. We just didn't know it," athletic director Bill Byrne said.
Hm, if you mean your a frustrated Longhorn fan, dislike another circumstance, incident or poor choice concerning a player, I can see. But don't.
sounds like he was just living up to his last name - jackass
Disciplina praesidium civitatis
I am not sure at this point a 2 seed is possible.

Don't blame him for partying (and probably banging) the Mizzou chicks but at least do it on a different night rather than the night before you start. Who does he think he is - David Wells?

The only way this team competes for a regional title is if they sweep through it. They don't have the pitching depth to do it the hard way.
agree with this 100%...i think they stand a chance if they get in a regional with Rice and TCU or DBU. I don't think Rice is that great as they have benefited from relatively weak schedule. That said, Thornhill, Peters and Curtiss will have to pitch well. I almost think Texas approach should be use all combinations of the before mentioned pitchers and Milner in game one to secure a win and then throw Knebel out for a second game.
I think Milner has to stay in the bullpen due to the fact that you can use him multiple times in a weekend for multiple innings.
You also have to find a way to get effective innings out of Peters and Dicharry.
The big issue will be guys getting out of trouble. In the postseason, typically, pitchers are pulled if they get into serious trouble because coaches don't want to take the chance that the team falls too far behind. The Longhorns don't have that option this year.
Speaking from personal experience, hungover and "dehydrated" go hand-in-hand. As if it didn't have to be explained... I guess Mr. Jacquez enjoyed the "Show-Me" hospitality!!
Very good point. Outside of Knebel, Milner and maybe Dicharry there aren't really any guys you feel confident about coming in to get Texas out of a jam.
