I'd have given the white trash POS 5 years minimum.
There are a lot of people in prison and not enough prisons to hold everyone the governments charge with crimes. It's better to use the prison space for people who violently assault, rape, or kill people.
And in response to mcb0703, I have to say that I wonder if there are prison gangs along SEC fandom lines in Alabama. If so, I suppose Updyke will be a flash point for prison riots, but he'll probably have a lot of protection from the Roll Tiders in the pen. Even the prison guards, maybe. I suppose he's on his knees begging to be sent to a place that doesn't have an Auburn grad as the warden.
