Hamstrings are a real bitch
To what degree?
Mildly straining is isn't a big deal. Tearing it from the bone is a major deal.
Signatures are stupid. You should block them.
Don't know....just passing on what's out there
I can already envision a season of case and no redshirt for brewer. Hopefully it is not bad.
crap. how long was bergeron out when he hurt his hamstring.
I wouldn't get too excited until we get some more information. Hamstring injuries can range from catastophic to nuisance. Depends on the severity, how tight the muscle normally is, etc. Running backs tend to have tight hamstrings, and they rely on explosiveness in their legs, both issues for Bergeron. A QB, even one who likes to run, usually doesn't deal with either of those issues.
Is that a question? Or are you pointing out that Bergeron missed a lot of time so Ash will miss a lot of time?
There are so many differences and possible differences in that situation and this one that I don't even know where to start.
If its bad enough he can't go then I pray Overstreet is a prodigy in disguise. I can't handle another game let alone season of Case mccoy
If he's seriously hurt, it sure makes not going after that JUCO QB seem like a genius move. Brilliant...
I just realized all my optimism for this season hinges on a healthy Ash. I've read a lot of good reports about him.
If he's hurt or less than 100%, my confidence in the season just became much less. This is such a bummer.
What about Kai Horstmann? His career was ended after a hamstring injury. Ash's career must be done too.
WORCESTER stalwart Kai Horstmann has lamented the hamstring injury that effectively ended his Blue and Gold career.
Looking into it.

Would you compare it to taking 1 Qb this year when there are 4 or 5 that could be studs in state. Not to mention that Qb is a project, Freakin aggy has 2 Qb's in this class why can't we stock up on the most important position on the field, we have wasted schollies on less iI promise you. Having a stable of only Ash and McCoy going into this year is retarded and could have been avoided easily with a transfer/Juco move
Lots of panic already. People need to relax a little until something definitive is reported.
Please return shortly and tell us it is nothing serious!
Jkates is right: it all depends on the degree. If it's minor, he could be back in a week or two with no lasting effects.
If it's more severe, it could affect him all season.
Well, I guess that's why Mack makes the statements that he does regarding QB competition. You just never know what will happen on any given day with injuries. Clearly all the reports had Ash out in front, but who knows after this. I hope it's not that bad, but no matter what, you would have to figure him not doing much for at least a few weeks with the team in general. The good news at the moment is he has managed to get a lot of work in over the spring and summer, so one would hope this is a minor setback for him in terms of not being able to practice with the team. Without having any information on the injury level, its all speculation at this point, but one thing is for certain, don't expect to hear anything different from Mack and company that this is a two person race and possibly even more (i.e. Brewer) now that this has apparently occurred today.
My issue was taking a project QB like Swoopes as our only QB when we already had a long term project QB in Overstreet from the previous year. In effect, it was putting all of our eggs in Connor Brewer's basket if Ash got injured or didn't develop... unless one thinks McCoy is a possible long term solution at QB.

Totally agree, you would think that after the last two years of crappy Qb play Mack would learn that having more than 1 alternative option is prob a wise thing.
My take on McCoy is he should not even be on the team and wouldn't be if his Bro was Colt.
