You can add that once it was disclosed about her relationship with one of her players she was no longer capable of doing her job effectively. Other schools could negatively recruit against her and some parents would not Bev to coach their daughters. Bev slit her own throat.
sorry dude but pretty sure we are going to need one of the female posters.
and provided cash, housing and transportation in violation of ncaa rules putting the school in the position for ncaa sanctions. assuming the ncaa can figure out how to count, read and in general do anything
Some members of the BOR is after Burgdorff because didn't skewer Powers in the investigation of the law school, completely unrelated any sports issues. Perry is going to get Powers. Sports issues just give him cover.
function words are you friend, friend.
does this mean Saban is coming to Texas? just so much "smoke" and all that, you know.
Thanks JeezGuy. Your rejoinder to Silky triggered the explanation of Austinr's use of the Congreve quote in reference to Kearney. It was simply calling attention to all the "pants roles" in his Restoration plays. After all the only famous sports reference was to tennis. Oh crap, that was Elizabethan. Confusing Congreve with Shakespeare again.

you say this as if I have no experience with being on the receiving end of a strap on.
It seemed obvious but I hate start rumors on a public forum. Where were you incarerated.
never been to prison, and this was with a female so I can say "no homo" and it's all good.
remind me not to party with you.
We need to take this back to discussing Restoration theater. It's off subject but only slightly off color. Usually only in the double entendre. Oh my god, what will you guys do with that?
you just haven't lived.
I know that it is spring break, but surely the "strap on" thread should not die! Come on! There are homeless kittehs in Kenya! Do they not deserve your support?
No kidding! I think I made that post from my cellphone. Or at least that's my story.
Looks like there is some movement toward a discrimination suit.
Former Texas women's track coach Bev Kearney, who resigned Jan. 5 after disclosing she had an intimate relationship with an athlete in 2002, will announce the filing of an EEOC and Texas Workforce Commission discrimination charge, her attorney said.
"[The discrimination claim] will be investigated for 180 days before [we] have the right to sue," Howard (Kearney's attorney) said.
So the multi-millionaire lawyers representing Texas have 6 more months to find more info on Kearney before she can sue?
"This is the legal prerequisite to filing a discrimination lawsuit," lawyer Derek Howard said in a text message, "and it will specifically reference the [Major] Applewhite comparative scenario."
They'd better have more than that as ammo.
Yep. I don't think the rumors of his fling as being same gender are correct.
Signatures are stupid. You should block them.
Hook 'Em! ...'til early in the morn.
Agreed. Pretty easy to distinguish the difference in the two situations. Bev's indiscretion was with someone under her direct guidance.
