I am hearing from Aggies that both are staying in school. Projected to be top 10 to 15 picks. Anyone else hearing this?
Sorry for bringing up Aggies but that info. was hard to believe.
Neither have said anything that I know of. I think Joeckel is gone and Matthews stays.
I talked a former Aggy player(during Fran Tenure) the other day. He said Bruce Matthews advised both to stay. If so, that's really bad advice to LJ. Jake is his son and can so what he wants but shouldn't do that to Luke. Again not sure if true.
top 5 pick, you have to go. Never knw how a college season might go next year.
Joekel should go. I can see Matthews staying, moving over to LT and making more money in 2014. Both have brothers playing for aggy, so that could change things.
Joeckel is projected as high as no. 1. What is he coming back for?
He'll stay for a national championship trophy.

This makes me sick to say it but if both tackles come back, they have a chance with that QB. Last night gives them more momentum in recruiting. It is good that we are now looking at the JC players and trying to spread nationally. Think we will have to do that. It will be tough to get thru their sched. with out a loss or two. As much as Manziel runs, he is going to take some hits if they can catch him.
I'm a longhorn fan through and through, but this aggie team may be best team I have seem all year and playing some defense now
Agree with this.
Whether Joeckel & Matthews stay or not, this board should just accept the fact now that aggy will be loaded on offense next year...aggy may not be as good on OL next year, but let's not act like this team will fall back...Sumlin will find suitable OL replacements
Manziel-T Williams-B Williams-B Malena in the backfield...& underrated WR group
& DE D Moore may be leaving...but Brandon Alexander to step right in
Joeckel can't improve his stock by coming back. Matthews can.
Hard to match two high no 1 Offensive Tackles. Do not remember seeing that on a college team. Alabama may have that many, not sure.
You're right, Bob Stoops. Every backup is just as good as every starter. Especially every starter picked in the first round.
Colt had extremely soft OL & made to NYC 2 years...
The mods have repeatedly stated the terrific job Sherman did in OL evaluations...was that only for Joeckel & Matthews? I suspect their replacements will be just fine, if Joeckel & Matthews leave
Not surprised condesending smart-ass, instead legitimate football analysis, is the best you can come up with
Congratulations on achieving your life's full potential of mediocrity

Didn't Bruce Matthews not allow his son to commit to texas due to our scheme and development issues al ol?
Joekel leaving early is a no brainer. Matthews probably will stay.
But if I were an NFL GM, I would take either one of these in a heartbeat if they were still on the board.
Or a flood.
Last I have heard both tackles at aTm have a first round grade, I doubt their parents would tell them to pass up the money and risk injury.
Wish the Cowboys would draft one of them.
Wouldn't surprise me if Jake Matthews stays in school. His parents aren't hurting for money and his brother is slated to be the starting C at Aggie next year. He also is not rated nearly as high as Joeckel.
Joeckel is a top 5 pick. He would be a moron to stay.
I just wish Texas had an offensive lineman that is good enough to be drafted in the first four rounds.
