...................didn't see this posted. Don't think he will be unemployed long.

A lot of teams are struggling with the salary cap as it will not go up of any substance till the new TV deal. More experienced players with higher cap value are going to be exposed more in 2013 and 2014 because of the cap.
why is the NFL's salary cap so low in the first place?
let me rephrase that. as much as it has risen, doesn't it feel low?

Is this a joke? $123 million is not low for 53 players or so. Half of the players on that roster make squat. Cable tv deals have the economics of sports all screwed up.
Cowboys, Cowboys, Cowboys...
..................no we want Aaron to play for a class organization that has a chance to win!
He'll find a home so long as he hasn't lost a step.

I'd take him on the Texans...Shipley too.
I think if Aaron wants to win another Super Bowl he should really consider the Patriots. Belichick likes veteran character guys who know how to win. I could see Ross fitting in there for the rest of his career. He might make less money in the short run but in the long run winning championships would make up for the initial contract..........
Aaron recently missing too games because injuries could be issue on salary
Getting cut by one of the worst teams in the NFL doesn't scream job security.
Actually getting cut by one of the worst teams probably means you can play................if they were making good decisions they wouldn't be a bad team year in and year out.
Like Corey dillon? Albert haynesworth? Randy Moss? Those veteran character guys? He's about accumulating talent as cheaply as possible, plain and simple. He takes chances and most haven't paid off lately.
..............he takes cheap chances and wins division, conference and Super Bowls. (the division and conference championships are easier because bad organizations like the Texans are in their conference) Check the records..........BTW Moss was one of the major reasons the Pats were 18-1 and within about 2 mins of a SB win. Corey Dillon was a solid player for the Pats also........................

Nobody said they weren't good..........you said he takes character veterans and referenced it with Ross needing to sign there.
................and you point is? As I pointed out vets do well there............
Needs to try safety.
My point is that you aren't making sense.
Probably a good idea. It would extend his career and he's never been shy of tackling.
Adam Shefter reporting (on NFL 32) Aaron Ross to re-sign with the NY Giants

I think that is great for Aaron............he will have a chance to win another Super Bowl.
Good news for Aaron and very happy for him, but it looks like he's being brought back to compete for the third CB slot behind two returning starters. I suspect he is not getting paid the money he was getting in JAX, but that family is not short on money, so great for him to be in a familiar situation.
