Not a subscriber there. I'm not saying I like sunshine pumping. Just saying it would make sense for team mods to be a little biased.
Pretty sure he means that that sounds like what A&M fans used to say about Mack.
In other words, the total role reversal has been completed. :)
Bobby Burton and Jeff Howe are slightly biased, Hamm says that every player in the country wants to be an aggy and thinks that RSJ couldn't wait to decommit yet disregards that fact that he committed to yall when we had already pulled his offer a few weeks previous. Make no mistake, he wants to be a Longhorn, but made some questionable decisions that were largely due to his dad and uncle being too close to his recruitment, all that needs to be said here.
Oh, I know exactly what he's saying. I just want him to back up some weak smack with evidence. Taking 8 WR's and 7 LB's in one class then taking 3 more the next class is just freaking stupid. Of your 13 and 14 classes, you'll lose probably 6 backers and the same amount of WR's due to attrition, and that won't exactly look good to incoming recruits because other teams can say that aggy just lies to get kids on campus and doesn't really care for you personally, they just want you if you're good and they'll kick you to the curb if you aren't.
Taking 7 WRs in this class. With Griffin not qualifying, it's only 6. We're losing 4 of our top 5 WRs production-wise. You think we should only take 4 to make up for the 4 lost? We need options.
Linebackers are a similar situation. We lose 2 starters, the other will be a senior this season, and there's exactly ONE proven backup. We only took 1 LB last year. In 2011, we took 5, but one didn't make the grades and left, 1 was a JUCO and this is his last year, and another became a DE. We need options.
Keep Mack....he's earned you loyalty.
Proverbs 10:4 (NIV)
Lazy hands make for poverty,
but diligent hands bring wealth.
Uhh no, RSJ had his offer pulled for a different reason.
Baylor? TCU? How is either beating us in recruiting? I'm really not sure if you are serious.
We didn't get Rhodes because he wants a smaller school and we slow played him while going after Samples. And we lost Hicks because Devonte Fields is his best friend and Patterson was on his ear every day for weeks since Martin is down the street from TCU. Hardly beating us off the field.
IF Showers transfers you ask? Then he won't compete to be the QB for at least a year and Baylor will have likely already found another so that would be pretty dumb to transfer there.
Most importantly, this is Macks last year, then we'll hire whoever we damn well please and any coach in the country will come here if the money is right. Most coaches would come here if the money wasn't right. You? Uhh, not so much. Sumlin is already looking at where his next spot is whether it be USC, close to home at ND, or the NFL. Enjoy your moment in the sun because JM won't be there forever and you are losing a ton this year.

Showers won't transfer till after he gets his undergrad (in May), which means he won't need to sit out a year. He'll go to a new school for "graduate" purposes and get to play right away.
Why would you think Sumlin is looking for his next spot? Multiple outlets reported he turned down 5.5 mil from the Eagles to stay with A&M. Sounds like he's happy in College Station and happy to stay in the college game.
Says the Aggy that pays money to be on a Longhorn message board.
What's the deal with those male cheerleaders...kinda weird...
How do you know he's paying? These posts aren't VIP. Anybody can see them.
Multiple sources = Liucci and Liucci's soul patch.
can this thread just die, please?
of which said message board has thread specifically about Aggie Jr. Day.

"CBSSports has learned the 48-year-old Sumlin was pursued by three NFL teams as well as one major university this past month." - Bruce Feldman
"The Philadelphia Inquirer reports the Eagles were "onto" Texas A&M's Kevin Sumlin in their coaching search after initially being turned down by Chip Kelly." - NBC Sports
After leading Texas A&M to a an 11-2 season in its debut year in the SEC, head coach Kevin Sumlin is getting a sweeter deal from the Aggies.
Luper? You mean the guy who said that we offered when we had just asked him if he was interested in Texas?
You should cross Kohl off the list seeing as he's a top 10 MLB pick and I wouldn't count on Kyler unless he does a John David Booty and graduates HS a year early.
Pursued and turned down 5.5 million dollars are two vastly different things. Bar Rafaeli could pursue me, but if she finds someone better, then she'll choose him even if he originally turned her down. If Bar picked me, I'd be a fool to turn her down.
Alright, last post.
My biggest issue is this: Hamm writes about all these recruits and some are big targets. Solomon Thomas is one of our biggest but for Hamm to post some drivel about how Texas is no longer ahead for him is just plain stupid seeing as there was an article on him in the last few weeks that stated that he was wide open, but that Texas was definitely around the top. Aggy? Not nearly as high.
Making a thread on your site about how you could stop the SEC from taking Texas or OU is just plain delusional (reason I picked this thread is because it was at the top and, guess what, it was about Texas.
So Sumlin pimp slaps male cheerleaders?
I see why you guys are so confident that he'll never leave...
"At least three NFL teams with head-coaching openings inquired about Sumlin, according to league sources. Teams were rebuffed as they checked to see whether he had any interest in talking about an NFL head-coaching job."
Also mentions that after year one, he has "a new five-year, $17.5 million extension that averages $3.5 million per season," which is more than the $3M USC is paying Kiffin.
If need be, his salary will be adjusted again next year, this time with the increased flexibility TAMU will have with TV revenue (all of which was withheld this year) and the influx of donations.
Fully expect USC to make a run at him. But with another year of reduced scholarships, a disgruntled and increasingly apathetic fan base, the luster of USC isn't quite what it was. Last year Forbes valued the TAMU program slightly above USC (this before the SEC move). No way the powers-that-be, after putting all its eggs in the SEC basket, won't exceed what's offered. They just can't afford to lose him.

Aggies hand out extensions so quick like it'll help.....things just never change.
Pretty sad that Mack has done more in his career at Texas than the ags have done since 1900 and the stupid farmers come over here and talk smack. Mack is pretty much responsible for the firing of good ol RC, Fran and Sherman.
Enjoy your once in a decade season and go hump some sheep.
Please go back to the football team that has never won A BCS bowl game, hasn't won a conference championship since 98, and a NC since 1939.
Congrats on finishing third in your division. Does that go on the stadium too?
Haha Aggies think they lead for Soloman Thomas
