2014 Beaumont Ozen safety Tony Brown told me that A&M, MS State and LSU have all offered and he thinks that Texas offer is only a matter of time. MS State and A&M came after he ran a 13.87 in the 110 hurdles at the Texas Relays.
Tony Brown has added three SEC offers before the start of his junior year.

That is a top 5 hurdle time in the country... And he's only a sophomore
Thanks for the update, Barton.
Yeah, he told me it was the 4th fastest time in the country. I think he placed 3rd in the race though. There were some dudes moving in that race.
Sounds like the tie to LSU will be hard to overcome but there is a long, long way to go yet in this recruitment...
When i've talked to him, Texas appears to be neck-in-neck with LSU. He understands that Texas doesn't offer this early. If Texas decides to offer they have a great shot.
Wow what a race!
I think it's peanut butter jelly time!!!
Great Scoop Barton. Hope Akina makes a move on this guy.

BTW, thanks Barton. He has a lot of potential for sure. Potential better than the video in 2011, but his baseline skill set is tremendous.
A Texas degree is 10 times better than one from LSU, especially if you want to live in Texas after school - or anywhere other than Louisiana. LSU is where kids go that can't get into a decent academic school in Texas.
If you end up playing on Sunday, it's not as big a deal; if not, especially if you want to come home to Texas, IMO, it's a foolish choice.
