Lot of sentiment that he runs too upright and is a product of his OL.
You think Matt Barkley is having second thoughts about coming back to school?
He was pretty widely projected to go in the 2nd round.
Landry Jones too.

Congrats to Marquise! Sucks he has to go to Buffalo.
Goodwin to the Bills at 78!!!
Marquise to Buffalo
Congrats to Marquise. I'm a little surprised he got picked up before Okafor. Somebody is going to get a great deal with Oak.
I'm surprised how far Okafor has dropped in the draft. I thought he would go mid 2nd-mid 3rd.
well.. Buffalo is better than Cleveland!!
Aaron Williams seems pretty excited to get Goodwin to the Bills

Better then Oakland too. Thats the one place i never want a UT player to go to.
BTW, Marquise Goodwin is the first offensive player drafted out of Texas since 2010.
I wonder what the concerns are? It seems like he had a good combine, interviews, etc. I can't think of any red flags that would cause him to drop this far.
Wow. Goodwin went before Okafor. WTF? Well, at least I still have hopes that they will get him. I'm happy for Goodwin, but it sucks that he went to the Bills. At least he will know one guy on the roster from Texas
"I don't hate you, I'm just not necessarily excited about your existence."
I think Okafor is caught in tweener land. Plus scouts have basically asked the question "why did Okafor disappear so much".
Quite the opposite. He was dominated at the senior bowl by fisher, tweaked his hip, did not play. He did not run well or perform at the combine or at the UT workout. He had something a 29" vertical....which is ridiculously low.
The offseason has hurt his stock. I think people are questioning his effort and seriousness.
AND he is caught in tweener land. At least, he is in today's NFL. Too small and not strong enough to play a true de. Not agile enough to play olb. I think he'll grow into a true de but it will take some work on his part.

He had a 36" vertical at the pro day. I'm not sure where you got that he was "dominated" by Fisher, he actually did relatively well against him (keeping in mind Fisher was the #1 pick). I'll grant that he was never going to test out as an athletic freak but he graded out higher than this.
I wonder if Okafor is gonna get picked in the third.. this is crazy.
I guess I'm not getting the tweener remark either. 6'5" / 265 lbs is a tweener for a DE? Especially when he spent a year at DT? When I think tweener, I think guys like Sergio Kindle. Alright, I'm done pumping him. Hope he goes soon.
3 picks left. Down to the ravens, texans and chiefs if it's going to happen.
I don't think tweener is his problem, I think his problem is that he's solely a 4-3 end, which not a lot of teams need.
Some scouts had Okafor listed as 3-4 OLB similar to T Suggs @ BALT but not as athletic...others had Okafor as 4-3 DE but needed to get stronger
Still believe Okafor ends up in HOU in Wade's 3-4
Ouch! That's embarrassing
Okafor has put on weight recently but he hasn't proven he is strong enough to play at that weight. He's just not an orakpo like athlete at de and he can't play olb in a 3-4. That's what I mean when I saw he's a tweener...I'm not specifically referring to his size. He's just stuck in today's NFL where they are either looking for very agile olb ends or big strong des in the 4-3.
Found this...they predicted early 4th for okafor...
