Let that sink in for a minute.
Is anybody really impressed going 10-3 with a soft OOC schedule?
lets hope we return to those type of numbers quickly. the 5 - 8 figures aren't cool.
I'm guessing that's some other school . . . read somewhere where some school is currently on a 9 year streak of 10 wins plus.
EDIT: Virginia Tech is the school on a current 8 year double digit win streak. Figured it might be a trick question as I was very surprised to see that.

Discounting bowl games, that included only three games against ranked non-conference opponents in those 9 years. Two games against tOSU and one against TCU.
2 conference championships under Mack. Let that sink in.
At one time, Stoops and OU had been told to vacate some of those wins due to rules violations.
Carroll's teams turned out to be a big rules violator with the Reggie Bush scandal.
Meyer's team hit the skids. He bailed out. He left behind a real mess for Will to clean up.
It appears from internet chatter that Saban is actually Satan, but he CAN coach.
Conference championships aside, none of those records are 9 straight years of total double digit wins. Nice try troll.
You should have completed the sentence.
winning games is nice. winning championships is the point.
I guess some people are content with just winning 10 games a year, as dumb as that is.
"I don't hate you, I'm just not necessarily excited about your existence."
But but but, 10 win seasons and whatnot...
Did I claim it did? There is nothing magical about a base-10 number system. A 10-3 season is mediocre without a conference championship. It shows how far we've fallen when Holiday Bowl U is something to be proud of.
Would agree. The thing about 10 win seasons is they were great when you played 10 or 11 games. It meant you went undefeated or only lost 1 game. With the addition of more games 10 wins is nice but to me hardly a standard of greatness. 11 minimum or 12 with the ideal being 13.
I'd also add that what makes Sabans record as shown on this thread more impressive is that it includes 3 NC's. Meyer has 2.
Unless you can convince an entire voting block that winning championships is not really that important.
Completely agree with the other posters about winning championships making those double digit win seasons MORE meaningful, but I am not going to take those or any wins for granted after having to go through the past two seasons.
nice. forgot we had that emoticon.
