Here, here. He flew under the radar giving way to the Beau Hossler storyline. He clawed his way past the cut and was one of only a handful of players who shot under par over the weekend (-1). I don't see him turning pro until after the results of the U.S. Amateur. We will know soon enough.

Yeah, the US Amateur is the key for so many guys in his position.

My bet would be one more year at Texas, but I don't have any concrete info/knowledge on it.

If he returns for a second year, and Hossler is a mid-term guy in January 2013 with what Texas has coming back, hard to imagine the Longhorns not winning back-to-back NC's.

Just heard on morning drive that Jordan is going to qschool qualifier this summer as an amateur and if he qualifies he will be gone. I like the PGA giving these amateurs this chance as it makes the choice easy and educated.

16 and 18 cost Hossler the low Amateur, his play deserved it but that is maturity, he has to close regardless of position.

I think that is the smart way to go about it by Jordan, and his people, as well.

Even if Spieth leaves, Texas will still have a decent shot at a title next year (assuming this Hossler mid-term rumor is true), as they return their 3 through 5 guys from this year in Vegas, Hakula, and Gribble, and replace their 1 and 2 with two of the top high schoolers in the world in Stone and Hossler.

It just makes sense for him to try his hand at Q-school now. This is the final year for that. After this, the only way on tour will be through the Nationwide tour. Grinding it out on that tour probably doesn't appeal to him.

Probably would have been easier a week ago.

Hossler was money, espcially Saturday's round where he followed up every bogey with birdies.
