It wasn't complete on the base paths, some really poor effort there tonight.

One poor sequence doesn't take away from the very good performance.

  • Agree Dave and the bats were alive tonight against what is considered their best pitcher. The base running mistake was not pretty however, Augie will have a talk no doubt.

    +1

This might have been the best (and most complete) win vs a good team. To have hits up and down the lineup and good defense from multiple positions was good to see. For this team to be good offensively someone from the lower third of the batting order has to hit consistently...................the best bet for me is Felts.

Generally you don't want to get into those, but in that situation it would have saved an out.

Yeah, Hall gave himself up too quickly there. It wasn't necessarily his fault, but he could have helped. Oh well. It's always better to make those mistakes in a win. Teaching points.

Signatures are stupid. You should block them.

  • I was sitting there puffing my chest out as we continued to get hits and not bunt.....then we run ourselves right out of the inning. I had a nice little laugh at that sequence.

  • Thought Augie had a good comment about the base running in the 6th inning. At the conclusion of the LHN interview he asked why there wasn't a question about the base running.................he said they attended a seminar on baser running conducted by the Keystone Cops...........

On that play, the biggest mistake was by Nicholson, he should have sent Felts. Second biggest(and dumbest) mistake was by McElroy not knowing what was going on in front of him. At worst it should have been 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs.

Felts waited an awful long time at second before he took off for third. I think he's got to have some responsibility. Not sure he makes it if sent.

You can really blame everybody involved on that play IMO.
