Bryan HarsinI felt like being down there with the quarterbacks and the offense was the right thing to do to kind of have a chance to sit down and talk with those guys in between series to hear what they were seeing out there as well...I thought it was good. It was good to be down there with those guys. I thought it helped.
We felt like we could get on the perimeter and utilize some speed and it would help with the inside run game...Those guys did a great job, Daje had some great runs and D.J. had some big ones.
It's good to have Mal (Malcolm Brown) out there. I know he's been chomping at the bit. He's done everything to get himself into that position right there...To have him out there it makes everybody from a protection and run game standpoint better because it gives you an experienced guy out there.
Any bowl opportunity is huge for the inexperienced guys, the guys who have been redshirted. It'll be their opportunity to get in there and run some plays....That's what's great for them and they understand that.

Mack shitting all over the offense yet again.
We lost because KSU went back to their offense and Klein, even though he was obviously injured, killed us. We had no answer to the QB draw (as always) and they took advantage of our safeties aggressiveness with the PA bomb.
Mack can't be that dumb. I think this is some kind of insecurity/emotional issue that has him crapping on the offense after every loss.

Does he mean players that redshirted last year or this year's redshirts?
When I read this quote I get the impression that the redshirts can play in the bowl. I did not know that. If true, Mr. Brewer, Mr. Overstreet get ready. We want to see what you've got.
I heard someone make a remark that Davis was absent during the game (sorry I bailed at 5 am here at the start of the fourth quarter...). That's not surprising. He is the long ball element of the game. He had a dismal year last year after Gilbert disappeared (who could deliver a long pass, although not always to the right player) but with David this year he was doing better. Case just cannot throw the ball to a guy like Davis.

Sure, redshirts can play in a bowl game...but it voids their redshirt status just as playing in a regular season game does, Harsin is referring to getting them extra snaps in bowl practice work (like a second spring training). There has been a movement spearheaded by Minnesota's HC, Jerry Kill, to allow redshirt freshmen the opportunity to play in bowl games, but the NCAA hasn't approved such a change as of yet...and probably won't ever do anything sensible.
