Coaches speak after game

How is it the fans fault this time, illustrious leader? Please do us all a favor and resign.

    Did I miss something?

    UTK66

  • Yeah Mack, it was just turnovers. Nothing to do with TCU gutting you for 221 yards and only having to pass nine times the entire game. Patterson paddled you tonight.

Yes, after all the uproar following the embarrassment yet again against OU when we were totally dominated and unprepared and suffered a back to back 40-50 point losses last year and this year, Mack said the fans were not friends and were contributing to the team not playing well.
That's who Mack Brown is. Similarly to his comments following the 50 point losses back to back in 2002 and 2003 when he said he didn't care what the fans thought.

They were looking ahead to KSU. Came our flat like against Kansas and let TCU gain a lot if confidence. Unfortunately TCU isn't Kansas.

Bullshit. They've had almost two weeks to prepare for a nationally televised game on fucking Thanksgiving Day against in new in-state rival. They didn't overlook shit. We got our asses whipped, plain and simple and it will continue so long as Mack is here.

Oh, goodie! 2AM! ESPN is about to air the replay!

Although I think he needs to retire too, in Mack's defense I never heard him say anything like that.

I remember him taking full blame for the losses in 02 and 03. And when did he say the fans were at fault ?

Can you show some links to him saying these things ?

I'm not doing your work for you so if you want the links google is your friend. But he said them. Multiple outlets reported them. There was quite an internet tempest about it. If you didn't see it it's because you don't want to. Congrats on being a friend of the program.

To echo the blaming, Erin Hogan of 'The Big Show' in the post game call in last night, 'And again, Mack talks about the other team, every other thing, but his team. I'm tired of it. We here this again and again. Why don't you talk about your team?'

Are you being sincere in referring to Purple Baylor as UT's rival?

I said "new" rival. And that's what you have when you play a team from your home state other than A&M on Thanksgiving Day. Or do you think that was just another game? That's probably what Mack thought...

And what's this retarded ass "purple Baylor" shit?

Not sure if you watched the game or not, but TCU actually has a defense and can do well in all three phases of the game. Calling TCU "purple Baylor" is for jealous petty idiotic fans with no football IQ.

Bryan HarsinOn if the change in QBs in the first half was due to health or performance:It was just that we weren't doing anything offensive and needed to make a change there and get ourselves going and get back into rhythm.

Because that's what Case does right? Gets us back into a rhythm. Are you kidding me? By bringing Case in when we did, we essentially forfeited the last 2 minutes before the half.

I hope you get a clue because he was talking about people, like Aggies who haven't accomplished anything since 1998, being jealous of TCU's success.

Just like I thought. You were full of chit and you got called on it.

And I very much want Mack to retire. I'm just not willing to slander and lie about him in the process like you are. He's a very good man. He's just not so great of a coach.

A possible attempt simply to keep the team focused and moving forward, all the talk about finding about who their "true friends" are came out as a criticism of anyone who dares to be negative after a legacy-defining loss that provided the tipping point in the "Bob Stoops owns Mack Brown" narrative. It came off as the snippy Mack that Texas fans have grown to hate when he tries to act like the big, evil world of the media, new media, and fan opinions are illegitimate. -- BurnOrangeNation 10/15/12

Heard that too and was in violent agreement with Hogan. What really bothers me is raving about their opponent, especially before the game. It subliminally sends the message to the team that you are playing a better opponent, so "do your best".

    That's BO's opinion.

And it clearly says his attempt was probably to keep the team focused and moving forward - which is a long way from blaming the fans for the Horns problems which is what you said.

Look, I really want Mack gone. But he did bring us our first MNC in 30 years and he was one injury away (Colt's) from making it two.

    He deserves better.

Actually, I didn't say it. I told you that a LOT of people said it. Actually, you know what. Just fuck you. Mack sucks and should be fired. Fuck you for picking some little issue to distract from that. Just. Fuck. You.
