Chris Petersen to UCLA?

wasn't he offered the Florida job too or am I wrong on that?

UCLA doesn't really spend the type of money on athletics that they should. Bad move for Peterson.

The downfall of having a head coach that brings nothing to the table except speaking, fundraising and shaking parent's hands.
If both of our coordinators leave we are royally screwed.

Different situation entirely, IMO. On offense in order to upgrade we simply had to hire a drunken mule. This year it might be hard to match our quality on both. On offense I am also terrified about our player and recruiting decisions if we change directions again. Mack has demonstrated he knows absolutely nothing about selecting proper players on that side of the ball.

But seriously, we will be fine. Everyone freaked out when Muschamp left and that turned out to be an upgrade. Not saying I want Harsin or Diaz to leave, but we can survive it. I think they both will stay one more year at least. I think they can both that we have the potential to be something special.

A very valid point.
Keep in mind, when Peterson turned down Stanford, he was looking at BSU potentially having a backdoored shot at the national title.
And he was one upset away from seeing it. But UCLA is like aggie, just can't seem to get out of it's own way and frankly, no reason they aren't a regular member of the year end Top 15.

UCLA is a basketball school. It's very clear on how the Athletic Department is run and the money spent. UCLA hasn't shown it has the will or the financials to back up a real push into elite level college football. The landscape has passed them by and now they are scrambling to catch up. It would be a terrible situation for Peterson; mile high expectations and zero support.

Very few schools in the PAC have the commitment to football to attract a Petersen. That includes AD $$$ and fans in the seats.
