That would be a strange move for Petersen. UCLA just doesn't have the facilities or the willingness to spend the necessary money to compete. Unless there has been a serious paradigm shift in their AD, UCLA is going to nickel and dime on everything.

Texas has a lot of flexibility with their staff if Harsin leaves. They can hire a QB, TE, or RB coach.

I'd also assume Major will be Co-OC, with Brewster if he comes, or with Wyatt. Wyatt has HC aspirations and Texas isn't going to keep him around long as just a WR coach IMO.

Any chances Boise would just promote from within from their current like they've always done instead of hiring Harsin back? I understand hiring Harsin would be basically promoting from within but a guy can hope right?

Every year, without exception, Petersen's name comes up. I'll believe he leaves Boise when it actually happens.

Why would Boise State replace a Chris Petersen with someone who has never been a head coach? Guy's mid 30's. thats a huge risk as good as Boise State has been over the last decade, and then now counting on being competitive on the national scene year in and year out. I could easily see them going after someone with experience first.

Joe Schad didnt think Petersen was going anywhere on ESPN radio this morning. He's turned down way too many jobs including Stanford last year to believe anything on him leaving
