How can a Texas team play like THAT against OU. I still can't comprehend how that happened and why it's happened so much.

Were they scared/hesitant because the game plan was conservative? were they intimidated by OU and the environment?

Second question. Where does UT end up if we beat TCU and lose to KSU for bowl season?

My question is on the Diaz situation and if the uncertainty with the defensive coordinator is having a negative effect on recruiting that side of the ball. Akina as well. I know we all love Akina but the truth is that other that Diggs and flashes of Vaccaro, they have been a bit of a disappointment as well. Am i the only one who remembers talking about how further our defense was ahead of our offense during two-a-days? Yikes! Harsin and the offense has been pulling dead weight! Good turnaround in the tech and iowa state game...redzone defense i mean.

What's your bold prediction between now and February?

If Texas takes a second QB in the 2013 class, who is it most likely to be?

I think it's a combination of being young and unprepared on both sides of the ball.

The defensive gameplan was woeful. And the offensive gameplan wasn't much better.

** Let's start on D because that was atrocious.

On defense, Texas didn't have any sort of answer for the two-back pistol set.

Nor were they at all physical enough on the defensive side of the ball. They just blitzed and stunted themselves out of plays, tackled like the jv playing the varsity, etc.

Giving up 400+ yards of offense in a single half of football is historically low. It was the worst single half performance and full-game performance I've ever seen from a Texas defense. And we're not talking about some sort of high octane offense that the Sooners have.

* On offense, I don't think Texas realized that its offensive line, from a physical standpoint, is just about average. And that OU is a more physical defensive football team that Texas had practiced against all preseason. Then there's also the fact that OU's secondary could go man-to-man often enough that they could commit more defenders to the LOS when they wanted to.

Long story short, I think the offense just wasn't prepared to be overmatched and they were.

I think Texas will end up in the Cotton or Alamo if the Horns are 9-3. Other teams, specifically OU and Oklahoma State, will determine the other Bowl spots.

Do u think Texas needs to start flexing it's money muscle when it comes to satellite camps and such, especially with Aggie in the SEC and doing well?
