It would be better for the long haul to have Connor or Jalen with the back up role. If we're blowing out the tomato cans by halftime, then we can let the future have some live PT. Only thing is Mack has a terrible track record of being too careful about running up the score that he doesn't allow the back up QB to run the full offense. It might have been more helpful for Garrett Gilbert to run the full offense more in blowouts instead of just handing the ball off. That might have made for an easier transition in the NCG when Colt got hurt and stay somewhat with the game plan.
