The place to talk about the Texas Longhorns

The Longhorns are currently in their quiet stretch. After a bad loss to USC in California on Sunday, Texas only has two games in a 13 day stretch (Texas State on Saturday and North Florida on Tuesday).
The Horns should use the next two games to fix a number of problems that have popped up since their win over Sam Houston State. Texas has looked like a different team than the one that started the season 3-0 with a win over Illinois.
In the last three games, all against teams with RPI rankings of 149, 202 and 233, Texas has averaged 70.3 points per game compared to 82.8 in its first five games. And the first five games included match-ups against No. 16 Illinois and No. 3 Pittsburgh. In case you were wondering, 70.3 PPG would rank 104th in the nation for the season, right behind powerhouse Buffalo.
Texas State and North Florida are 332nd and 277th, respectively, in scoring defense. These two opponents are just what the doctor ordered for Rick Barnes' bunch. Continued bad offense against these teams will be cause for huge concern around the 40 Acres.
We'll get a good chance to see if this team is really serious about making a March run over the next few weeks. First, the Longhorns need to show some improvement over teams they should dominate. Then, Texas hits the road to play North Carolina and No. 7 Michigan State. While losses to these two perennially strong basketball programs won't make them miss the NCAA tournament, it would certainly put this team behind the eight ball with Big 12 play right around the corner.
Thanks for the update. I have been frustrated watching the offense in the past couple of games. I hope they get that straightened out.
Signatures are stupid. You should block them.
Thanks for the update........I'm concerned about the offense but will more concerned if we go back to our old system............Barnes said there will be some bumps along the way..........lets hope we get this corrected by Big 12 play

Our big men were pitiful against USC. They were dominated. Guys have to step up.
Actually thought Hill played well defensively.........the problem is he gives no offense now.......so we can't have Balbay, Hill and Lexi on the court at the same time.............
