Brandon Alexander Recruitocosm Article

I know that a lot of posters don't like Recruitocosm, but anyone have any thoughts about this article?

I thought it was kind of a disappointment after all the hype coming from that site about it.

  • Not really much there. I guess he cut out all the good stuff under fear of lawsuit.

  • Dud of an article.

It seems to be the source of some of the quotes.

  • Weak sauce. Recruitocosm definitely had a source at the end of the season and throughout the coaching search, but that source doesn't appear to be willing or about to leak anything anymore. They created a huge buzz for themselves and looks like they're not able to maintain that any longer.

Correct on it being disappointing...Quote from JS ('Cosm mod) about that very thing, yesterday, when asked about the Alexander article (which has been in the works for quite some time: "On the Alexander article, we essentially had to scratch most of the narrative and the draft is more of a skeleton sketch of the original article. We don’t want to get sued so I hope you guys understand the delay."

-- I still give credit for having the "stones" to put it out, regardless.

  • Right, but why put out an article that is just puts together information that you can find on this board? He just gave a lot of ammunition to his detractors that say he has no inside information. If this was all that could be released because of legal concerns he should have just scrapped the article instead of putting this out.

  • The guy is some random fan that had a connection when everything was going down so he started a blog. I thank him for that, but it appears now that everything dried up on him. Since it's a free blog he can post what he wants, but not much there anymore except hilariously wild rumors.

It had a good run but now probably time to shut the door on the 'Cosm.

  • I enjoy some of their write ups. Frankly if anyone of you were willing to start up a blog and put up timely write ups about recruits, practices, etc. I would probably read it. The mods on here have amazing insight, but I also enjoy reading what most of the users on this site post.

That's not much of a response either. The guy wrote three affective sentences that stated his point. You gave him two words.

I didn't down vote you but I can see why someone decided to.

  • If you know how to read between the laws, you can get an idea of what he is trying to say. Bottom line, there are stories and accounts that are solid but without proof...not much you can do

Of concern to me is that the ags are playing dirty again.

    Oh...okay.

Seriously, wonder how much the coaching staff appreciates his "stories and that are solid but without proof" pointed at Mack's reaction to Coach West and the regent.
