Bohl's states Aggies will win 2013 National Championship

  • Sad that the Aggie NC talks start in the middle of Austin...

  • Was that the crazy prediction after 9 stupid comments?

PS. I did not read. I no longer click on anything written by Bohls.

  • Not a crazy prediction, he led the article with it. Also has TCU ranked 8th in his pre-season poll.

  • I agree with him.

Please explain how that's not a very good possibility? They have Bama at home and LSU has lost a lot. Other than that their schedule is a absolute joke.

    Auburn?
    Arkansas?
    Ole Miss?
    Mizzou?
    Vandy?
    FCS teams?

yeah, I'm shaking in my boots at all those good teams

Even if they don't beat both of LSU or Bama, they really only need to win one to get to the NC game if in the almighty SEC.

If they don't make it, they should consider it a huge failure.

  • Bohls and Golden have Aggiemania like no folks I have ever seen. I think they got brainwashed at Fish Camp. I wish both of them would just move to College Station and write for the Eagle.

  • As evidenced by his pieces Bohls obviously watches more movies than sports.

Yet everyone thought the exact opposite just one year ago. Anything can and will happen.

thats true but that schedule based on 2012 results is pretty pathetic and a cake walk for even an average team. Look at ND. Their schedule this year was loaded with big names that weren't very good and it worked for them.

  • I think the X-Factor is whether or not Johnny Foosball will suffer a Sophomore slump....he's handled the pressure pretty well so far, but you have to know that coming into next year his expectations are going to be sky high. At the beginning of this year, Geno Smith was expected to win the Heisman and have West Va. compete for the National title and we all know what happened to him. I wonder if Johnny might be susceptible to the same thing...

I would not sleep on Ole Miss. While we beat them handily, they played some very competitive games, won a bowl game after going 2-10 the season before, and they have some serious momentum on the recruiting front.

Disagree. We're overhauling almost our entire front 7. In fact, our best case scenario is the return of 3 starters. And the little depth we have is completely unproven. We were very fortunate that we had no significant injuries last year on D.

We should lose to both LSU and Bama--with an outside chance at losing to OM.

  • Why is that a crazy prediction? They get Manziel back with a ton of momentum. Even if their OL fails to reload, and I don't know how they could just replace the players they've lost, They deserve to be included in the NC talk. After all, it's all this is -talk.

Unless hype matters, those incoming freshman recruits ain't gonna do a damn thing next year...

  • I think the pendulum has swung too far. SEC West was a dumpster fire last yr, especially early. Ole Miss was a lot different in Sept compared to Nov. Auburn actually has a lot of talent on the roster. They quit in Aug, so I would expect a lot different looking squad. Ark quit also. Not sure about the new coach, but they may actually care this yr. I would look for some major improvement in the SEC West this yr at the bottom of the division. The top is probably coming in a bit.

BS. Bama is at home and LSU lost a ton. Ole Miss is at home as well. They are upgrading talent but it will all be young. No excuses aggy, welcome to the big leagues.

Wow, a reasonable Aggie. I was basically going to say the same thing about your D.

If you re-read my initial post, I never said anything about it being a crazy prediction. I know Aggie should be a top 5 team, I simply stated that it's sad that Bohl's is writing this campaign for Aggie to be the Pre-Season #1 in the Statesman. As another poster mentioned, this guy should pack up and move to B/CS to write for the Eagle...

You're right, because freshman never have an impact....Jonathan Gray, Malcolm Brown, Amari Cooper, Jadeveon Clowney, Marqise Lee, and many others say "hi"

Considering the the top 25 brought in somewhere around 500 true freshmen last yr, your list does not put much of a dent into the theory that true freshman rarely make big impacts. Everybody understands that there are exceptions, but does every statement on the internet have to be countered by the random anomalies? Survivor bias thrives on the internet

OM is on the road. To your point, we did turn it over six times and still won. I don't see us turning it over 7 times. We should win, but it's not a given--not until we know what's up with this front 7.

LSU at Death Valley (ostensibly at night) is a different animal. They lost a ton, true. But we know LSU reloads. I do believe beating them is feasible.

Saban started prepping for us on January 8th. We play them early. They should be better next year. I'd like to know the last time a team beat a Saban-coached Bama two years in a row.

and with Auburn you have the Malzahn factor. That offense can and does give defenses fits and aggy isn't known for defense.
