    That's where phone records, any email or other verifiable communication, and surveillance video of them together from places they've been (if the University can get ($$$$) the businesses to cooperate) will come in handy showing Petrino was with her well before he hired her. Then in that case he was hiring a girl he was banging, no sexual harassment.

    Not necessarily - if continued bangage was a condition of employment, then ... troubles.

    And nobody employer with any sense is going to spend any real money trying to show that Petrino is a lying wife-cheater but NOT a lying wife-cheating sexual harasser.

    If -- and we'll stress if -- Bobby Petrino is relieved of his duties as head coach at Arkansas due to recent happenings, an interesting and well-known replacement may be next in line.

    "Sources with knowledge of the situation tell me that in the case that Bobby Petrino is relieved of his duties, a prominent Arkansas booster [Editor's note: Jerry Jones?] that has been closely involved with significant decisions in the past will push for Butch Davis to fill the position," Pete Roussel of CoachingSearch.com wrote. "Davis, who is currently serving as the special assistant to the head coach with the Tampa Bay Bucs' organization, was not tied to the NCAA penalties levied against North Carolina. A source close to Davis tells me that Davis would be interested in the position."

    One name that will be popular, but an unlikely choice is new Arkansas State head coach Gus Malzahn.

    "I am told that Gus Malzahn would not be a candidate for the position," Roussel included.

    Looks like Arky has temporarily taken down his profile, but they didn't remove all traces (Josh Morgan). Current word is that Petrino stays with a cut in salary and a modification to the morals clause in his contract (change "may" to "will").

    But Arkansas might have a hard time looking past those 21 wins over the past two seasons

    I find it shocking, frankly. But 21 wins are 21 wins. Some facts may not be as bad as they seemed at first blush. Jessica was not hired to a new position, but was filling an existing one. A position for which she was apparently well qualified. And a number of people, including Long, were said to have had a hand in the decision to hire her. If all of that is true, I can see him staying. She is supposed to be out, but with a better job outside of Razerback athletics.

    I don't know where you work but in my world having a sexual relationship with someone who reports to you is a good way to get fired. All of your other direct reports have a pretty good basis to believe that their peer, with whom you are having a relationship, is likely to be favored for raises, promotions, etc. And your employer can expect job discrimination lawsuits as a result.

    That's right. Petrino also had to explain why he hired her from a pool of 159 other candidates and whether he had a prior relationship with her.

    You're right, I did read later that it came from some football fund. But coming from a booster gives the story another layer from which BP will need to crawl from.
