1. Wrong. You said, and I quote, "forseeable future". Now you are pigeon holing it to next year. Is your whole frame of reference a rolling two year calender? We're recruiting Juco's because UT is in win now mode. It's indicative of poor recruiting and the temperature of Mack Brown's desk chair.
2. Sure you're living vicariously. The margin for error would be smaller this year, but once again, you're frame of reference seems to be the immediate with little consideration for cycles in the college football system. There have been a number of years, several in the last 5 years in fact, that the members of the SEC West would have found it to be unusually tough sledding in the BigXII South. You division has been strong the last two years. That won't last indefinitely, and to be clear by your time frame standards, that means the division will an assembled mass of above average in the next 1-3 years. The game is cyclic. It will happen.
If you're following the media for reports on who's on the hot seat them you might as well start snooping the local tabloids for world news. Sure, they'll hit on the most obvious of stories, but the sporting media is perhaps the largest collection of talentless hot air jockeys on the planet with a few exceptions. I will emphasize once again that Mack Brown had to fire nearly the entirety of his staff including both coordinators. One of which has been with him during his entire tenure at UT, at North Carolina, and at Tulane for the most part. And it was more than a few UT fans who were hot with the man. Most gave him another year in a wait and see approach, but the 55-17 loss to OU combined with obvious laziness, cronyism, and nepotism within the program had the stage set for his exit had UT not made a mid season run and pulled off a near miraculous upset of ATM.
Richt has been on the hot seat because he is an annual under performer at a school that can realistically expect better performances. He and his family are wonderful people, but it's not certain that football is his top priority. Miles was on the hot seat after a MNC, a two loss MNC at that, because his terrible clock and team management cost him games that LSU should have otherwise won. Add to that his embarrassing penchant for vomiting sentence fragments and half thoughts during interviews and press conferences, and the natural state of the LSU fan as I discussed above, and it's not that far fetched. I'm sure Mullen would be admitted into saint hood were he to win a MNC, but it was largely viewed that Lester had won his MNC with Saban's players at the time. This year might prove otherwise.
3. I can discredit the MSU defense because the same coordinator who engineered the performances you spoke of, Robinson and Newton, is our coordinator, and your defense returned 7 starters from last year's squad. One might assume that your promoted co-coordinator at least kept some terminology and concepts the same for the sake of continuity. Really, this isn't that hard to grasp.
4. It goes hand in hand. Recruiting was poor, and it can be argued that the worst offenders, our WR's, OL, OC, and HC, did an extremely poor job of finding players to fit a system and do anything approaching coaching them up. Add to that a laughable S/C regimen and you have our offensive meltdown in 10. It must also be noted that only the HC and S/C coach remain, and that one has been essentially promoted out of the program while the other has been trying to use a hands off policy, because his meddling is largely to blame for our current predicament.

No. 3 is bullshit. What you don't know is Wilson and diaz both came up with our scheme. You wanna give diaz all the credit which is false. Also yeah we returned 7 starters but 3 of those guys are playing on Sunday. We replaced all of our starting lbs and an all-sec de but we actually didn't have a dropoff. So that tells me Wilson is a hell of a coach. How many games did diaz get torched this year? Wilson had really only 2 bad games and that was auburn and Arkansas. We had lsux and bama in check just couldn't do anything on offense.
