I would like the system to be as fair as possible. SOS must be a part of that or it's pointless and impossible (many years) to determine who the best 2, 4, 8 teams are.
Would be great if Texas was in the top 4 but if we have a schedule like this year and Ou, Wv, Osu and Tcu are not top 25 teams the. We don't deserve to be be in top 4.
That's why 2008 and 2011 was so unfair to the Big 12(Texas and Osu) bc we did have a better SOS but got left out.

We not only need to get to 12, we need to(assuming the teams are right) get to 14. Doesn't mean we want to schedule 10 top 25 teams a year and after a year to 2, it will even it self out and different teams will rise and fall every year with Texas, Ou and probably Fsu remaing on top usually(similar to Sec). We will have and need some teams that are doormats but not many.

Fsu/Clemson/GT/Pitt - there is no logical way to say no to those 4 schools unless u are scared of competition. You might not want a super conf but u don't have a choice. Sec is at 14 and try 16, B1G will try to go to 14-16, Pac would add more but they dont have many options. If U stay at 10 then u become irrelevant. The system will see to it that u will and so will the recruits.

Recruiting wise its more of an advantage for other schools bc they will get to come to the state of Texas much more than Texas or Bayor or Tcu will travel to Florida st bc we will have 4 teams in our state. But we will be in the southeast almost as often. That's why we need to add at least 3 teams from that region(Fsu/Clemson/GT).

Bottom line is system needs to be as fair as possible and that means SOS. A 10-2 team with a SOS of 8, is better than a 11-1 with SOS of 46.

Basketball will add FSU (Sweet 16/Elite 8) and Clemson (3 of the past 4 years in the Dane)

Baseball will be fun as well.
