That's a nice looking facility if they decide to go through with it.

It's a nice stadium but, when you can't even sellout your current 50K seat stadium, I just don't see where having a new one built is feasable.

how many is this one supposed to hold? just putting it close to campus instead of the middle of the freaking ghetto will help their attendance, i'd figure.

Looks similar to Minnesota's artist renderings of their new stadium. I hope they break ground on this soon. It will be good for Baylor and the Big 12... The best part is it will help pull recruits from A&M!

Super conferences are around the corner. Perhaps by the end of the decade if we can squeeze past that whole 2012 thing. Now is the time to upgrade a school's facilities in preparation for that and the fallout for those institutions not invited to the big dance. Schools all over are doing it. North Texas just finished their stadium. TCU is just getting started on construction. BU is laying the groundwork. Briles will have Baylor relevant as long as he stays there, and the Bears have 4-6 years to prove that they belong with the big boys.
It's not just about putting butts in seats.

Here is a story on Stanford Stadium. IMO every university looking to build new should use this as the standard. It was affordable, great acoustics, on time and every seat is a great one (i went to last years SC game).
