I posted this on the other thread but in the interest of consolidation:

The ACC is projected to receive ~$18 million per team on the high side in their new contract for Tier 1-3 rights. The Big 12 is looking at $21 million per team in the current configuration. The escalators I've seen thrown around for adding Clemson and and FSU is anywhere from $3-5 million.

If that turns out to be true when it all shakes out then FSU and Clemson will be making somewhere around $24 million or more and still have their Tier 3 rights. Additionally, there is some talk about teams that choose to selling their Tier 3 rights to the Conference for some type of sister channel (Big 12 Network) to the LHN.

It appears the only way the ACC is going to even be competitive is getting to $21 million which is exactly what Swofford asked for from ESPN. I don't think he'll get it though.

I definitely agree that FSU is on the upswing in basketball. Louisville has just been very solid for several years. Hadnt even thought about how salty the conference would be with those baseball additions.

say we land FSU, Clemson, Louisivlle and Miami. Do we then take a run at Georgia Tech and Pitt to make it a sixteen team super conference with all the aforementioned schools and Iowa State and West Virginia in the "east"?

Fsu fan here how strong are these rumors?

But that would ruin the aggy's plan for the Big XII to be gone in three years and the LHN to never happen...heh heh heh.
