Anyone know what the bad news is for the UT Athletic dept.?

  • It's not going to break my heart to see Dodds and Barnes go. The athletic department is ready for an overhaul. We need an AD that's committed to winning, not merchandise and ticket sales.

  • Sounds like all the rumors are going to be just rumors at this point.

Does anyone here actually love The University enough to bang Plonsky to get her fired?

    There ARE limits....

    I nominate NLeininger.

Signatures are stupid. You should block them.

  • Weren't a lot of these same sources saying Les Miles was resigning on Monday?

..................the more she reveals at some point the UT admistation says uncle and gives her more money? At this point she is not employable by another university. What is the saying...........Bev a few years ago was the toast of Austin. She was on track to be the Eddie Reese of Woman's Track.

I always up vote a good quote. +1

Why does Bev Kearney have such animosity towards Texas and who are her advisers/lawyers? Having a relationship with one of your own players is reprehensible. I would think she would want to part gracefully rather than making herself more of a parish to a fanbase that, in my eyes, supported her through a lot. Sounds like she has a serious maturity issue and it's hard for me not to send bad thoughts her way ... tattle tail bitch.

Put yourself in her shoes. If you were fired for a transgression that others at your place of employment got forgiven for then you'd be burning the house down as well. I think your vitriol should be point directly at Dodds.

Me, too, except I have a really hard time drawing the parallels.

Let's see, that was said by Zara, the Moorish Queen taken captive by King Manuel, who has the hots for her, but she has the hots for another prisoner, who is hiding his identity and happens to be the son of a rival of Manuel and who had secretly married Manuel's daughter, so he rejects Zara, who gets pissed and uses her feminine wiles to get Manuel to order Alphonso's execution, but everything gets screwed up, Manuel orders his own execution, Zara commits suicide, and Alphonso and Almeria live happily ever after, sort of.

So that means Kearney is Zara, who was taken prisoner by Dodds, and Dodds is hot for her, so she will use Dodds to exact revenge on . . . No, that doesn't work.

Maybe Manuel is really Powers, and Kearney feels jilted by Dodds, so she's working on getting Powers to execute Dodds, but that would mean this is leading up to Kearney's professional suicide, Powers being removed from office, and Dodds and Plonsky (?) living happily ever after?

Well, it was entitled "The Mourning Bride: A Tragedy." Us still being stuck with Dodds and Plonsky would probably count.

So, despite the apparent varying severity of the transgressions, all punishments need be the same?

    Varying severity?

Dont know any facts on any of this but I would say there is a difference in having affair with one of your student athletes and having one with a secretary or stripper or something. Think that was what he was saying. I just wish this would come out public and and they would move out the problems.

You are obviously a very sick man....

The bearded lady at the circus for another national championship in football? The devil might tempt me for a moment.

    Plonsky? Nope....

Someone call Bellmont and see if we can set this up.

We can put our new a.d. guy on the job along with the sophomore camp job.

Well, with me being a female I could not do the honors. Sorry guys, but it up to you. Although a female might be what she wants. Either way we could all chip in a lot of money and search 6th street and find someone to do the honors.

While the quote may be apropos, the situation is certainly different. As I remember Inspector Morse makes the same type comment as yours in The Jewel That Was Ours after complimenting the speaker for getting the quote correct. He then points out that the quote was from Congreve and not Shakespeare which the quote had been attributed to by the suspect.
