Aggy Hires New Athletic Director

Previously @ TCU as well...& rebuilt the athletic program during his time in FW

"Barring a last-minute change of heart, Hyman will replace Bill Byrne, who retired last month with more than a year remaining on his contract. Hyman is expected to lead either an extensive renovation or complete rebuilding of football's Kyle Field, projected to begin after the 2013 season."

Lets hope they find another tape measure for the field. When they built/remodeled their swimming center it was discovered a year later the pool was a few inches off.........

The little brothers of the Lone Star football steal an AD from the little brothers of the Palmetto State football. Such symmetry. This is really going to add some extra fuel on the new Aggy-Cocks football rivalry set to be manufactured this fall.

So what did he do at USC, from what I've heard he hired Frank Martin a few months ago and that's it. Not Tanner or Spurrier and their facilities aren't known to be anything to write home about.

From a quick glance I would say he's a good hire, at least from the perspective of the Big 3 sports. Add on the fact that he has been in Texas as well as the SEC and I would say he's an ideal candidate given their situation.

Honestly, he's probably the best they're going to get/afford. Seems like a safe hire. Glad they didn't get Oliver Luck.
