Looks like Derrick Griffin has decommited from the aggys
“I’m re-opening my commitment” to Tex A&M, shared the two sport star. He doesn’t know where he will land – only mentioning he had no shortage of choices – but will play both football and hoops, at least initially. That will continue until “I decide which one I’m better in” he concluded.

-Sumdog knew he wouldn't qualify so told him to look elsewhere

He could always commit to Oklahoma State. They seem to have no problem getting players thru school that have terrible academics. Dez Bryant and Dexter Manley come to mind.

I think it was that combined with him committing very early in the process. I'd lock him up and if he can't qualify we'd have the inside tract (ala Okie and Meteyor).

Aaron Harrison is not handling his recruitment. Remember Derrick spent all spring and summer playing with the Houston Hoops. Martin Fox probably has the most influence on his recruitment, with Aaron Harrison, his Great Grandmother, and a number of other people also being involved.

Aggy decommit season actually started monrhs ago. Theyve already had a couple of them realize they were going to have to live in College Station for multiple years and then decide to do something different.

Sounds like he was speaking with the guy that published that and didn't know that it was going to get out there like that. That article read like a candid conversation that was had during a camp or after a game.
