If Alabama lost to a top 5 team, I can understand them going from 1 to 4. But come the fff on, they lost to a, at-the-time, #15 team. Bama should be bottom half of top ten.

This is partially how the illusion of the $EC being dominant is intact. Every time a team loses, they barely drop and the team that won moves up. This always keeps 5-6 $EC teams in the top ten.

Maybe we should let Vegas bookmakers rank teams. I see about 5 teams above us that I think we'd be favored in. Seems less biased than coaches voting.

Vegas doesn't pick winners. They set lines that get action on both sides. Big difference.

I have a question...if Texas wins out...would it screw itself out of the Cotton Bowl to play A&M or LSU? It would take KState out of the national title game...would this push down OU to the Cotton or would they also get an at Large? This would be messed up if true...cost everyone in the conference too. thanks in advance.

Agree. They're insufferable as it is. My point to them is that Alabama was suspect anyway. I don't think they beat a No. 1 team, but tell them that! The Tide's problem is that they lack an offense to play catch up. McCarron, even with that one bomb, is not that sharp of a passer. Aggy lost to FL and LSU - don't forget.

Florida and LSU are both good teams.

I understand that. But by doing that, they're in essence picking the public's perception. Good enough for me.

I know they'll never do it, but I'm just sick of the bias. The past few years it's been an SEC bias. Before that it was BCS busters like Boise, Utah, and TCU - all teams that would be underdogs to a lot of the teams beneath them. The new 4 team playoff format will make it somewhat fairer but won't really do anything to eliminate the bias.
